Feature:
The eq is a plus , and you dont have to put the gain all the way. You can leave it half way and still jam. The mackie only has the kill to the lows. Comparing both your talking 2 different styles but both are in the top of the food chain, Now if you talk JBL and Peavey then they need some work.
Quality:
top of the line,
Value:
There a bit pricey but like they say you get what you pay for. Its a high quality speaker so when your doing an event you dont have to worry about amps heating up or distortion.
Desirability:
its a different look from other manufacturers, its well desing and sleek as well as you can position it in any angle.
Sound:
I have had a pair of these speakers for the past 3 years, havent had the issues others have had, the mids and highs are clear compared to the Mackies that I also own. At the same time they kick some low's compared that the Mackie sounds like if its pounding a clap. I also added the powered 18's to my Ev's and i can do a gig up to 500 and still be jamming. The mackies are more for small gigs.
Ease of Use:
Just plug and play plus they speakers half both a 1/4 and xlr plus a added microphone connection, compared to the other competitors they have no room
Support:
havent had an issue to call customer support till this day. Plus the warranty is for 6 years.
Overall:
I will continue to use these speakers, i owned previously a pair of powered QSC's and the next day i exchanged them. QSC makes good amps but not the cabinets

Feature:
Very simple, clean. Has HF and LF EQ. I leave the EQ flat, and adjust if needed on my mixer. Anything more is pointless in a way, because it would require more circuits. Think of it as having two volume controls, one for each amp, HF and LF. I have not tested the limiter at all, as this is very loud on half volume.
Quality:
Clean, solid, heavy wood with a resistant finish and steel handles and pole mounts.
Gets hot, but that is to be expected with a 600W speaker.
Value:
Look around for the lowest deal at an authorized dealer and then price match. Good deal, considering this is the stuff the pros use.
Desirability:
This has a very professional look. Black case. Steel Grill. No frills, lights, or other bojangles. When it is off, it is discreet. Turn it on and the people will flock. Very, very human, present tone. If you are going to win people through their ears, buy this. If you want to mesmerize the easily distracted with flashing lights, look elsewhere, though this may convince a few of that type to listen as well.
Sound:
Hard to Describe...Best term would be...well-melded, like a grilled cheese sandwich where the cheese is melted, but not running, falling-out or lava-hot, and the bread is crispy, not burnt. Compared these to Mackie 450v2, QSC 15" version, JBL EON... Mackie is too crisp, with distinct separation between the lows and the highs (burnt bread). QSC is good, but while it seems loud and has a much more even response than the Mackies, it lacked the clarity in the mid-range that the EVs have. The EONs are muddy and booming, good for hip-hop if that. Check these out, preferably with some singing. The 15" woofer allows enough bass.
Ease of Use:
Turn it on. Leave EQ flat. Turn Volume Halfway. Play music.
Support:
Excellent online resources, could reach a person easily on the phone. No problems so far.
Overall:
I may get the sub woofer later, but for my uses as a DJ playing parties of 100-500 people in 10,000sq ft to 90000sq ft spaces, this is great. These are a long-term investment, and should hold their resale value. The company has been around for a long time, and overall, is owned by Bosch which I don't think is going anywhere.
