Premier Guitar Review, December 2008
Like Egnater's ideas, the quality is also first class--it's built like a little tiny tank--and his team has earned a reputation for taking care of their customers and their business. Unless you're a one-amplifier kind of player, and you love that one above all others, it's very difficult for me to see any reason why you wouldn't go for one of these. This is paradigm-changing gear.

Let's put it this way: I have a multi-channel Engl rack for heavy gigs or for projects requiring lots of switching and multiple tones in the same song. That's fine, but as you mature as a player, you start to crave the tone and expressiveness of a single-channel amp. For my less-heavy, more diverse material and for single-guitar ensembles, this is my amp of choice. Between the TWO amps, I have everything I need. It's a paradigm thing. If you want single channel beauty and simplicity, this is your guy.

Sound
I'll put it simply: this is a boutique-quality amplifier, and it sounds like it.

Features
I could rate it lower based on the idea that it isn't a multi-channel rackmount system, but that's not what this amp is supposed to be. For a single-channel amplifier, this has more features than you can use at any one time. Bright switch, low-cut ("tight") switch, buffered effects loop, built-in power attenuator, and the ability to blend tones between two pairs of power tubes -- WHAT MORE DO YOU WANT FROM A 20-WATT SINGLE-CHANNEL AMP???

Ease of Use
Plug in and start twisting knobs. Can't get any easier than that, but they did throw in a list of recommended settings, anyway. This amp is foolproof.

Quality
Too early to really gauge reliability, but it comes with a great warranty and seems to be built very well. The knobs and switches are tight and smooth, the components read more are top-quality, and I don't anticipate I have much to worry about.

Value
I am a cheap b*stard and I did my homework before buying this amp. If there was a better value out there, I would have bought it. I don't spend thousands of dollars on amps, I spend a few hundred dollars wisely. If you're looking for tone and value for money, you will have a hard time beating the Rebel 20.

Manufacturer Support
I haven't needed support. The company makes their contact info very apparent on the product manuals and invites customers to call up any time.

The Wow Factor
The product itself is genius, but WTF is sex appeal? If you are a tone junkie looking for a single-channel amp, this is it.
