"Eden = killer tone."

Feature:
Well, these things don't have too much in the way of features typically. This does have a midrange horn with volume dial, which is nice. Front-loaded ports are nice as well, making your bass presence less dependent on your cab's positioning.

Quality:
Very rugged. I'm not concerned about damage befalling this cab, with its metal grill and sufficiently boxy enclosure. I would note that I had some issues with buzzing at first - this was a matter of the baffling inside the cabinet, but was easily fixed at a repair center.

Value:
It's costlier than most 2x10s to be sure, but it's worth every penny.

Desirability:
Honestly, the yellow & red color scheme has always struck me as a little McDonald's. But - when people see you bringing this into the venue, they know you mean business. Eden doesn't mess around!

Sound:
Extremely versatile, I've tried this cab with several bands, using different EQ settings, pedals, and basses. The 210XLT has always risen to the occasion, providing warm low end for Motown-style tunes and producing a nice grind for rock. This guy doesn't need a 1x15" underneath it to fill out the low end.

Ease of Use:
Has Speakon and 1/4" jacks, which is de rigeur on newer cabs. The cast handles on the sides of the cab are quite comfortable. It's undeniably heavy, but being a 2x10", it's not so huge as to be unmanageable by any means. I moved up to this from a low end 1x15" cab, and though I can no longer carry it with a single hand (without immediate regrets) it's still quite portable.

Support:
Very straightforward. By calling the phone number on their website, they gave me three separate locations to which I could take the amp for warranty repair. The place I took it to took a little over a week to fix the issue, but that was an issue of the shop being pretty busy.

Overall:
Unless I get into a situation where I'm no longer carrying my own gear, I have no interest in a rig larger than (at most) a 2x10 and a 1x15. That said, I don't expect to ever replace this cab.

"best investment ive made in a while. all joy here."

Feature:
cool to have the horn cutoff, even more ways to change the sound! being able to switch between 4 and 8 ohms is cool, i flex it at 4 most of the time. no speakon, but i dont dig em, so no loss for me.

Quality:
a friggin rock. solid all around. no doubt quality through and through. seriously, go and try one out.

Value:
expensive, but top notch. even with the large tag its a keeper, the sound quality and general badassness make it a value. its a great investment, i play the middle road on most stuff, but this thing has been more valueable than any "best bang for the buck" deal ive come across (even though this isnt a 'best bang for the buck' kinda item)

Desirability:
its like owning a bently when you are in highschool.

Sound:
this thing sounds sweet, really crisp, super clear and deep, pops nice, jazzy, funky, even with craploads of effects, this thing will take it. great tone, but if you are sloppy, it will let you know - it has incredible response. huge sound for a 2x10, better than any 4x10 have messed around with.

Overall:
pricey, but totally worth it. if you are thinking about it, get it. i have no regrets with mine. (its heavy, but just small enough to fit through all the tight spots and tricky stairs, big enough sound that i dont need a stack, it seriously keeps up with much larger rigs and still cuts with thick sound. get one and then get another for a crazy 4x10 stack if you want to see how well your house is made.)

Eden D210XLT Bass Speaker Cabinet (350 Watts, 2x10 in.)
A favorite with professionals, Eden considers this to be the best 210 enclosure available. It features their exclusive hand-made EC-1060XL Cast Frame woofers and an adjustable E-2700 Cast Bell tweeter. This little system has more deep bass than many other 4 x 10 designs. Its tight, deep, focused sound lets the true character of your instrument shine through.

Since their beginning as a custom builder for professional artists and manufacturers in 1976, Eden Electronics has had one goal in mind: To build the highest quality bass amplification equipment possible. Their goal is truly realized with the David Series Bass Enclosures and Professional Amplification.

From the beginning, the key to Eden's success was the development of high quality, innovative designs, coupled with the best possible quality control through in-house manufacturing of all key design elements. Each component in the Eden David and World Tour Series is hand built and tested in their new factory complex.

At Eden, each new cabinet design begins its life as a CAD model. Sophisticated relationships between speaker and cabinet size, air movement and baffle design are first designed with the assistance of specialized computer simulations. While CAD has revolutionized cabinet design, nothing replaces the trained human ear. Each Eden cabinet is carefully evaluated for sonic detail and voicing by their staff and professional bass players in real-world situations. The result is a marriage of technology and pure musical considerations: the Eden David Series Bass Enclosures.

All Eden enclosures are constructed with 5/8 in. thick void free plywood with full dado and rabbet jointing. Massive internal bracing prevents vibration and keeps the sound deep, tight and clear. Exclusive Eden Cast Frame loudspeakers and Eden Cast Bell ultra low distortion tweeter horns are designed, hand-built and tested in their own factory.

True to Eden's goal of providing the professional bassist a no-compromise solution to bass amplification, the hand-built World Tour Series amplifiers utilize the finest materials and highest quality control of any system on the market today. The exceptional tone quality of the World Tour Series is the result of a marriage of traditional vacuum tube technology with the reliability of modern solid state devices. The Eden design philosophy is at the heart of their sonically superior hybrid design. Maximum reliability in the amplification of natural bass sound without unwanted sound coloration.

At the heart of the power section is Eden's massive toroidal transformer which provides the World Tour Series with more consistent regulation and sonic quality with less weight than traditional transformer design. For maximum rigidity and rejection of unwanted electromagnetic interference, Eden Amplifiers utilize a unique one-piece main chassis made from a single piece of heavy aluminum plate with 18 gauge steel chassis covers. Lock washers on all the screws prevent loosening from vibration, while on the job or on the road. In the unlikely event of an operational problem, Eden's state-of- the-art modular electronic construction allows for easy repair and simple upgrades. All World Tour Series amplifier systems come standard with rack mount kits, easily selectable AC voltages for international use and a rock-solid two-year world-wide warranty.

Finally, Eden believes that their world-class innovative products are only the beginning of their story. Since their inception, Eden has built an unsurpassed reputation among players for our excellent Customer Service. They thank you for choosing Eden Amplification and are certain you will find Eden products to be technically superior, with an unsurpassed musical quality. More importantly, you will find the staff at Eden to be your partner in your quest for sonic excellence and true bass tone.

Eden would like to thank all of the artists and players who have supported Eden over the years and made their success possible. They are very excited about the U.S. Music Corp. acquisition of Eden. This merger brings a new and exciting chapter in Eden history. U.S. Music Corp. brings a number of strong assets that Eden has always needed to move to the next level. First and foremost is the deep commitment to maintaining Eden's high quality of hand crafted 'Made in USA' products. Secondly U.S. Music Corp is excited to initiate product improvements, product availability, R&D and the marketing capability to spread the word.
