It's been nearly a decade since DigiTech introduced the mind bending effects of the Whammy pedal to the world, and that original design has been in demand ever since. The same smooth pitch bends, rich detuning, accurate dive bombs, and fast tracking harmony shifts, which were responsible for the instant success of the original Whammy pedal have been resurrected in the new incarnation of the DigiTech Whammy Pedal. Painstaking efforts were made to recreate the exact sounds that made the DigiTech Whammy such a popular and indispensable effect.

Every feature of the original WH-1 has been included in the new DigiTech Whammy; From the rotary preset selection knob, to the Ferrari red color; from the mechanical momentary switch, to the exact same interval selections. However, the new DigiTech Whammy has added the versatility of MIDI control, making this timeless effect flexible enough for any situation. The new "Dive Bomb" Preset gives the effect of a Floyd Rose whammy bar pushed all the way to the body of the guitar, and 16 LEDs provide a visual indication of your Preset selection even on dimly lit stages.

Sound: can get real cool sounds with it, the harmonic effects are cool can make the sound get realy evil if u use the 1 octave down harmonic Feature: it's got many effects Ease of Use: just pick effect and push it down Quality: mine peeps a bit when u push it down/up but it can be fixed real easy by greasing it up a bit, the overal thing is pretty indestructable. Value: pricey but worth it, it's unique Manufacturer Support: dont need The Wow Factor: cool look Overall: i wont have to replace it cuz it wont break that easy :)

Sound: truly spectacular. i love the pitch shifts, there all so clean and smooth, my favorite is 2 octaves up, and it transitions through the note so smoothly, and that goes for octave up or down. the dive bomb effect is also really cool, it really is like pounding a floyd rose all the way down, which really suprised me how good it sounded. and the harmony settings are really excellent for what they are. regular harmonizers cost upwards of $1500 and more. you get an extremely functional harmonizer for a tenth of the price, and it sounds excellent. also the detune setting is so cool, on shallow it sound like a watery chorus, when its on deep, it a really cool funky sounding effect, almost like a rotary pedal. no matter what setting, this pedal sounds perfect. Feature: tons of settings on this pedal. 2 octaves up 2 down dive bomb drop tune detune shallow and deep, and whole slew of harony settings. you get alot of stuff thats for sure. Ease of Use: for the beginners, it will take you an hour or so to get aclamated to the pedal, the haromony setting in particular will take some time, but have fun with it, you get so many cool sounds and noises. for expierienced players it will be a breeze to use. every setting is easy to navigate and the pedal as well is very very smooth, its not stiff and it dont stick at all. Quality: this pedal would survive a nuclear attack.lol. seriously its so durable, i had the original since 1993, and ive played over 500 shows with it, had thrown, kicked, slammed into a wall, chucked down the stairs, and through all that, it still worked(please dont try any of those things though, it voids the warranty). what finally killed it was my friend left it out in the rain, and it never worked the same, it still worked mind you, it just wasnt as smooth. it finally died though about a month ago, 2 years after it was left out in the rain. i bought a b stock model and i swear it looked and sounded brand new to me, it was pristine. i was blown away, even the box looked new, and i saved $60. awesome Value: considering i bought a b stock model, which i truly believe its new, i got an incredible bargain. $60 off the base price for a pedal thats as good as new, how could you beat that. Manufacturer Support: simply put zzounds.com is the greatest music store ever. ive told all my musician friends about this amazing website and now they all agree, you guys and gals rock. The Wow Factor: this pedal is sexy, ferrari red, whammy pinstriping. its so cool to look at, and i would love to own a car in the pedals color. it really is hot looking for a foot pedal. Overall: this is my favorite pedal in my rig, i love everything about it, from the effects, to the ease of use, i think every modern guitarist should have this pedal in their rig if they could afford it. its an amazing pedal. well done digitech, and thank you zzounds.com for selling a b stock model, it really is like new.B
