I'm just a hobby guitarist, occasionally do formal jams but mostly stuff with friends. The SKB ps-25 granted is a bit expensive for what it does but it saves a lot of time as far as setting up your effects and is much easier then carrying around a load of batteries or power adaptors and surge strips. All you do is plug your guitar and amp in and you're ready to go. I also haven't had the best luck with power adaptors, (one actually set one fire and in the process melted something in my Zoom 505) and as time goes on the wires inside get frayed internally and it is a pain to haveto find a room with enough electrical outlets to plug everyones stuff in especially when you are carrying three pedals and an amp.

I have the basic 6 pedalboard. I play bass in our band. I'm using 6 pedals boss, dod and electo harmonix, arion. I noticed if I leave batteries in the dod and arion effects, the pedal "board" power light remains on even with the unit not plugged in. The other effects don't do this. Why? (It's no big deal, I just don't wanna to burn out the power indicator light). This board is very cool otherwise. Lightweight, portable. Keeps things nice and organized.
Our guitarist uses the large stereo pedal board. We've had a problem with this one. When we use the boards power, it makes a high shrill sound at different intervals. It's distant, but annoying and noticeable (especially when using chorus or distotion boxes). We've tried different patch cables and order of effects. Checked and re-checked cables and different outlets, removing effects, with no luck. Right now we have attached, (with velcro), a pwer strip and are using the original pedal adapters and have NO noise. The whole purpose of the boards power has been bypassed- Except the convenience of the board itself and its handy case. Not real happy with the overall performance on this one.
