"A nice step up for the Behringer mixer line."
Feature:
It comes with a usb interface which I have not used as I am feeding the sub outputs to my soundcard, but I think this could be usefull.

Quality:
So far so good. The finish seems to be a cut above the previous Behringer mixers. Controls are silent in operation both mechanically and electrically. I cant comment on the "road worthiness" of this mixer, it is used in a small home project studio.

Value:
Excellent value for the money

Desirability:
Good looking product. not as industrial metal looking as the MX or UB series was. The display for the effect preset might be a bit bright but that is just nit-picking.

Sound:
Very clean sound. The effects presets are useable with low noise, some adjustment would be nice but for the price they are good. The mic. pres. have a lot of headroom.

Ease of Use:
Setup is a breeze, all controls are well laid out and function as shown in the manual.

Support:
Havent needed it.

Overall:
I had the MX-1604A for over 5 years without a problem and can see no reason why this mixer should not last at least that long.

"It has changed my mind about using this type of mixer in a radio production studio. It's THE way to go."
Feature:
This unit is perfect for the application, which included the need to hear a headphone mix of voice and music while recording voice only. The FX are fun, effective and easy to set up with the ability to send to and return from external units. Be careful with the headphone level ... it's LOUD and CLEAN.

Quality:
It won't take unreasonable abuse-be careful about connector stress. That said, the usual decent analog commercial broadcast console, which does not have anywhere near the switching ability, is $5 grand at minimum. For $210, these boxes are throw-aways. If the staff takes care, it should last quite nicely. Keep it clean and it should serve for a long time.

Value:
I have usually shunned this type of mixer for broadcast, but this unit is changing my mind. The included features that go way beyond the usual broadcast console make this an incredible bargain for commercial use at a price that allows for keeping more than one backup on hand in the event of disaster.

Desirability:
When the staff saw the capabilities, everyone wanted to put one into home studio use for commercial radio spot production. The 4 mic/mono line and 4 stereo inputs are PLENTY adequate with today's computer based recording. One job pays for the mixer. And I wouldn't mind having one to mix jam sessions with my buddies just for fun.

Sound:
The mic preamps and 2-channel line inputs are exceptionally clean and true to the source.

Ease of Use:
The application is a small radio broadcast production studio tied to an Echo Audio balanced I/O audio card under Adobe Audition. Set up took all of 10 minutes without the need to crack open the manual. Switch labeling/purpose is very intuitive with selective -10dbu consumer and +4dbu pro coarse sets with trim. It's the fastest studio setup, ever.

Support:
Unknown ... extensive documentation is included. It gets a '10' because support wasn't needed and it worked perfectly out of the box.

Overall:
The next unit I consider would need more stereo line inputs, but with computer recording software, a full fledged production studio may not need anything more than this.
