"This composer plus POD = pro quality of thousands of $$$"
The reason I bought this peace of metal was to get a compressor that can add some tube feel to my Line 6 POD and, this thing made me very happy. Ideal for the studios with digital recording.
I am using it for my Ibanez guitar and Ibanez bass.

"Good for the price, but don't expect too much."
Feature:
For the price, this does offer quite alot, and as I said previously, it's functional. More control over the attack and release times on the gate would be nice though.

Quality:
The thing is rock solid. It doesn't sound great, but you can probably get away with dropping the thing onto a sidewalk multiple times without breaking it.

Value:
It's good for the price, but again, don't expect it to be very good. It's functional, and does what it needs to do for the price.

Desirability:
It looks nice, but it doesn't really have any sex appeal since it doesn't sound very good.

Sound:
This device doesn't have the best sound in the world, or even particularly good sound, but is functional. If you're on a tight budget, it will get the job done, but don't expect anything too spectacular. Keep your levels going in as high as possible, because this unit tends to bring in noise. The stock tubes are crap and should be replaced immediately.

Ease of Use:
It doesn't get much easier than this.

Support:
If it breaks, throw it away and buy a new one. You won't get any support from the company.

Overall:
It does what it needs to do, and has a good price tag. It could be alot better, but not in this price range.
