"Great little amp; good for practice and rehearsal"

Being a college student and playing in a confined space, this amp is great for those of who want to practice and not irritate the neighbors (or roommates); it's also powerful enough to play with a drummer, if you want to. Some of the effects are really great, while others are fairly mediocre. Great features include the harmonizing effects and some of the unorthodox settings, i.e. the "magic drive" setting. The delays and reverbs are lacking for the most part, but there are some good ones if you look hard enough. The footswitch is a bit tiresome, as there is a period of silence when switching between the clean and distortion channel. However, the distortion channel sounds VERY good, especially for such a little amp (I personally enjoy a "wet" sounding distortion; I'm not a metal-head). It can produce sounds similar to Trey Anastasio and Jonny Greenwood, but it can rock out and you can get a sound like AC/DC or Eric Clapton if you want it (with the addition of some effects and manipulation of the tone knobs on your guitar). I should probably inform those reading that I play a Telecaster with this amp and it sounds great, especially when playing the blues. This is really an excellent deal for under $200, especially for more experienced players who want sonic options but can't lug a 100-watt Marshall combo and effects pedals around campus.

"The best amp available under $200!"

If you are looking for a smaller practice/warm-up amp that you can also record with, is LOADED with features, and can be had for under $200 (yeah, I know that's asking for a lot) - look no further!
It is like having 12 different amps at your disposal. You want Eric Johnson's type of melodic smoothness it's there, if you want some Angus Young power crunch just choose another preset, need some Dean DeLeo grunge you got it!
Clean channel stays clean all the way up the volume scale while the distortion comes through even at low volumes. And all of it is finely adjustable via the FX mix and the 3-band EQ.
I may be the first on the block with this new toy - but I won't be alone for long.
