These high-resolution, active monitors provide XLR and 1/4 in. TRS balanced inputs, very neutral sound and an extremely flat frequency response (50Hz - 21kHz). They're loaded with 150W (lows) and 75W (highs) power amps, separately controlled limiters, long-throw 8-3/4 in. woofers for deep, tight bass, ferrofluid-cooled HF drivers, unique wave guides, and extremely low-distortion active crossover networks with 4th order Linkwitz-Riley filters. I read some reviews about these monitors and i decided to try them. One review i read used a rating system of grades and these got a D- (if i recall correctly). That person also said that they have an impressive sound at first but have a harsh high end after a while that really causes fatigue. The other article i read really praised these monitors. If i were to rate these on the grading scale i would have to give them an A! There is no doubt about these speakers, they are good, really good! They have features of more expensive monitors, such as the switches that lets you customize the speakers to your studio environment. I finally have a realistic low end to work with (which is what i was looking for) and the highs are amazingly clear. A great flat response, which has helped me get more accurate mixes. I haven't had to put up wood boards and old rolled up carpets in the corners of the room to dampen the low ends. I also haven't gotten fatigued and believe me i mix a lot! Just read the instructions and try what they recommend, like listening to your favorite bands through them, it will take a few days to get them toatally situated, but once they are you'll be happy. In a review of the Mackie HR824 monitors the most common response was "where's the sub?". The funny thing is that my friend came over and i played a song on the Truths for him and he had the "where's the sub?" reaction. I guess i didn't have to pay nearly $1000 more to get that reaction. Of course you do have to be in the "sweet spot". They really have a good bass response. The only one problem I had with these monitors is that the power switch is in the back of the units. They should have had a front switch, but i guess for the price and performance i can definatley hook these up to a designated power strip through my power conditioner and turn them on that way without moving them. Less is more, and in Behringers case you pay less and get a whole lot more. I mean a whole lot!!!

Feature:
Most everything you need, nothing you don't. Pretty straight forward features, but no corners cut. The room-compensation feature is a BIG bonus at this price point. I'm not the biggest fan of having to dig behind and under to turn 'em on or make adjustments, but if you keep them on stands you'll have no problems.
Quality:
Okay, you should know, I'm pretty darn anal. But overall, these monitors are solid. Great, tight construction, no crap here, especially at this price point. I've heard no rattles or bad sounds from mine. Don't let anyone discourage you with the "Behringer only makes junk copies of the real things" talk. These monitors are built right.
Value:
Plain and simple: by far, THE BIGGEST BANG FOR THE SMALLEST BUCK, especially when compared to ANYTHING in this price range. The Truths give you performance worth much more than what you'll pay for them.
Sound:
These things can hang right there with monitors that cost five time more. Nice, flat response, critical for studio monitoring, but can dress up the highs occasionally...nothing to worry about though.
Support:
Can't comment mmuch here. If I ever have a problem, I'm sure it might be difficult to reach the manufacturer, but isn't that how it goes with everything? I've had no need to call them yet, and I've had them almost two years so far.
Overall:
Once again, if you're a pro studio snob, or someone who thinks you can only get decent quality by paying out your butt for in-fashion brands, don't buy these. But if you're a real person who's not getting James Cameron to fund your projects, the Truths give you what you need and more at this price point. Sure, maybe Behringer "copied" the design, but as long as they sound good to me and I get to keep some of the money I've earned, I see no problem. I'm into principles too...especially the concept of giving commoners access to quality. All in all, maybe Genelecs, Events, or Mackies sound as good or better, but I listened to all of those big-name monitors in this class, and the Truths held their own and more. Why would anyone pay so much more? Oh, I forgot...peer-pressure from the "cool people." Screw that. If you want the biggest bang for your buck, get the Truths.
