Its purpose in life, to growl! This has a very nice warm midrange growl. Awesome, head turning looks! Pair it up with a coffin case for even more turns… At less than half the price of the US neck through version, it is a great guitar for this price. While you may lose some sustain due to the bolt on neck, the tone is right there and the Floyd Rose lets you make it talk. 24 fret, twin humbuckers, maple neck, rosewood fingerboard, black hardware, Floyd Rose vibrato, awesome looks; What else could you need?

Sound
While the US-built Joey Jordison Warlock is neck through - the neck on this version is bolted on... So a loss of some sustain is expected. You also have the heel to contend with when fretting on the high side. Nice mid growl, with the twin hummers... the US version uses hotter EMG81/85 combo, which you could easily upgrade into this version. Country music players, look at something else.

Features
The first feature you notice about this guitar is the finish. Nice satin finish on the neck, awesome blood splatter on the body. The Slim profile neck is very easy to play on; Licensed Floyd Rose Special locking vibrato is very stable. Don’t be misguided by the internet, this thing has 24 frets!

Ease of Use
Ease of use, well unless you traveled here from 1 B.C. then this shouldn’t confuse you… Plug it in, tune it up, turn it up, Shred… One twisty knob: Turn it to make read more it louder One Flippy Switch: flip it up = neck pickup, flip it to the middle = both pickups, flip it down = bridge pickup…

Quality
I would expect this quality from a more expensive guitar. While not USA made like its big brother, it still maintains quality. I typically play on a new guitar for a few weeks, then tear it apart to foil the inside, and check out all the electronics, as well as inspect every screw hole. I would expect this quality from a more expensive guitar.

Value
Value to Price, well it’s a Warlock; sure you can get a cheaper version, and nothing wrong with that. If you like the style, the graphics and want to pay less than $400 for a nice shredder, then I would say this is a good value.

The Wow Factor
You could hang this on the wall as art… Turns lots of heads… Pick up a coffin case for this to polish off the wow factor…
