Unlike any interface in its class, the Apogee ONE features an internal reference condenser microphone that has been fine-tuned by professional recording engineers to create Apogee's Tuned Aperture Microphone(TM) technology. ONE with its tuned aperture microphone and fitted with the optional custom mic mount is the ultimate portable recording solution for quickly capturing musical ideas, recording high quality demos, rehearsals, podcasts, lectures, interviews, voice-overs and more.

World-Class Mic Pre input

For those who prefer the sound of their favorite microphone, the Apogee ONE features a world class microphone preamp with phantom power and a gain range of +10 to 63 dB. Based on the award winning mic preamps in Apogee's Ensemble and Duet, ONE's preamp is digitally controlled by the encoder knob. Level can also be set from within Apogee's Maestro, or your Mac's Sound and Audio MIDI Setup control panels.

Studio Quality Stereo Output

Hear your recordings in their truest form and rediscover your iTunes library with the Apogee ONE's studio quality stereo output. Controlled by the encoder knob, the output of the Apogee ONE is supplied by the 1/8" jack on the front allowing connection to either headphones or powered speakers.

Sound: The sound and conversion is identical to that of the Ensemble like promised. Feature: The breakout cable seems flimsy but the unique "one knob for all" is fantastic and easy to navigate. Ease of Use: It's easy to use but has an extremely short USB cable, which wouldn't work if you used a tower like a mac pro. Also, it doesn't have balanced 1/4 outs for monitors. You have to but a 1/8 to dual 1/4 TRS. Plus when you buy it, it will add a lot of weight to the front of the unit and create drag. The Duet's breakout cable has monitor outs. Why not have the same or similar break out cable. This is definitely the worst part about the One. Quality: Top notch, plan on owning it for a while. Value: Ensemble quality for $250? I'll buy it every time. Manufacturer Support: I had a few questions about the monitor out problem and they gave me a reasonable answer in a reasonable time fashion. The Wow Factor: Looks amazing.
