The 500-watt B-5R is designed to take the B-Series premise one step further. Not only great, plug-and-play sound for the clean channel, but channel switch or blend in an awesome overdrive sound. "Ampeg B5R...why not?"

Sound: ok, there are probably better amps out there, but ampeg is a proven winner and this amp has the head room to prove it's worth, the clean is typical ampeg....sweet and clean. the od is a bit more work to get what you want, but combining the two channels creating a morph is fantastic. you can create endless oppostunities for sound....the octave feature is cool but may only be used in some brief very brief occurances.... Feature: for the price the foot switch should be included....not an after market buy Quality: can't complain here, built tough.... Value: sure it's expensive in some sense's, but depending on what you are looking for this is a great amp and value (if they include the footswitch) Manufacturer Support: don't know The Wow Factor: it I didn't I wouldn't have bought it, but I do like the crome and the swre's and mesa's I considered....eye candy Overall: no reason why this amp will not last forever, If I win a lottery I may but something else.....but for now why??

Sound: it's like a punch to the face, but in a good way. Quality: so nice.... The Wow Factor: this head, with an ampeg 8x10, oh my god, it is so nice with the end results once you get all dialed in on your controls
