The Alesis RoadFire battery operated portable guitar amplifier comes in a hip looking case and is built to take the harsh road condition of clubs as well as remote locations where AC power is not available.

As with other Alesis guitar amps, there are built-in effects as well as a tuner. You can even plug in your battery powered drum machine or CD player and play along with it for the total road show solution.

zZounds has verified that this customer bought this product from us. "Looks good, sounds bad."

Sound: The only useful sound I found on this amp is with all FX (including EQ) turned off. Even then it was a pretty lifeless solid state sound. Feature: One great feature, a rechargable battery. The EQ was barely satisfactory. The FX are at a low sample rate and sound terrible. Ease of Use: The interface was somewhat limited, but with time you can get something out of it. Value: Sure - its an inexpensive amp, but I'd be happer with a Pignose, Vox or Roland battery amp. The FX are useless. Manufacturer Support: I returned mine because it sounded so bad. Unfortunately the shipping on a heavy amp made for a bit of a loss on my part.

Ease of Use: If you tweak the Radfire bad - he will sound also bad. If you know to tweak him right - he sound really good! Maybe thats the only real Problem on the Radfire15, that Beginners dont know to regulate him right, yust go to fast over all the FX and tweak there and here and then wonder, that there wild screwing sounds terribel. :) A Guitarplayer with Experience in Eguitar-Fx can take a lot out of him! Overall: Well, iam not agree with the bad Statements here about the Roadfire. Ijust can tell you, that the Roadfire 15 is a great Amplifier ! My Wish was to have a Amplifier, whis what i am sometimes independent from electric Power. At second the Possibility to have enough FX on Board. Like with all FX Moduls, you have the Problem to use is right. But for that it needs Experience that it sounds allright! The Roadfire has quit a lot of Fx. But you have to tweak all the Effects with just one Button ! I have a Line 6 Pod XT, there i have 17 Buttons and Knobs. So - this is a big Difference. Its not so easy to learn to tweak the the Roadfire right. But, ones you get Routine of it, its quit fast and easy like with the Pod XT. The Difference is, that the Roadfire dont show all the settings and its the Best to write them down!!! If you tweak the Radfire bad - he will sound also bad. If you know to tweak him right - he sound really good! Maybe thats the only real Problem on the Radfire15, that Beginners dont know to regulate him right, yust go to fast over all the FX and tweak there and here and then wonder, that there wild screwing sounds terribel. :) A Guitarplayer with Experience in Eguitar-Fx can take a lot out of him! Here in Germany we get the Roadfire15 now really cheap: for 119 Euro. The Roadfire can be loud, but better he sounds on 60-70% Volume. My only Critic is the missing Tap Knob for the Beat per Minute. At least - the Roadfire looks really fantastic, like a Rolls Royce. And if you tweak him right, he sound also like that luxury Machine! By the Way: My Roland 15 Amp is now to sell...
