Versatile mixers with built-in Alesis digital effects!
The super compact MM6FX and MM8FX analog mixers from Alesis are designed for handling critical performing or production applications. The MultiMix 6FX includes 2 mic/line inputs, 2 stereo line inputs, a 3 band EQ on each channel. The FX8 features 4 mic/ line channels with switchable 75Hz high-pass filters, 2 stereo line channels, a 3 band EQ on each channel. Both mixers feature 99 on-board 24-bit Alesis digital effects, for incredible control and creativity!

"ok but......."

Sound: sound is reasonably clean, pots etc all work ok. a bit a latency when the gain is high, but can be overcome if youre recording with it. the eq does what it should, and the mic preamps serve adequately to take the metalic edge of most dynamic mics. the effects are ok, if samey. the 100 variations could be covered by 10 effects, and theres no facility to edit. also theres a huge ammount of noise introduced when you up the effects level. even using an cheapo eternal effects unit connected with cheapo patch cables introduces less noise. the effects unit basically quit on me upon the 5th time I switched it on.... Feature: ok, as mentioned I think the effects are nice but samey, and introduce a huge ammount of noise into the setup Ease of Use: very intuative, plug in and play Quality: fx quit on 5th use, overheats very easily. other than that seems ok Value: reasonable desk if sold for 30e less with no fx bar a simple reverb on each channel Manufacturer Support: no opinion, I bought this online and reckoned the hassle of sending it back would be more than the fx were worth to me. The Wow Factor: wouldnt buy alesis again. augmented with a decent reverb pedal and a few effects on an old sampler I own it will serve its purpose, but I wouldnt recomend it

Sound: For $100 it can fill a few different gaps. Worth the money I think. Feature: Nice as a individual mixer fr 1 or 2 man act.
