The first Telecaster pickup (1948) had an unprecedented edgy sound and great sustain. Leo Fender called it the Broadcaster, and Seymour Duncan made one exactly like it. The STL-1b duplicates this fat, most sought-after vintage sound. The pole pieces are larger diameter, Dun-Aged magnets. Replace both your rhythm and lead pickups to get the classic Broadcaster sound that started a legend. Learn more...

The SH-14 Custom 5 pickup was developed by an eager group of contributors to Seymour Duncan's web user group who replaced the ceramic or Alnico 2 magnet in an SH-5 Custom or SH-11 Custom Custom with an Alnico 5. Tonally, the Custom 5 is a compromise between these 2 pickups. It offers the optimum balance of warmth, punch, power, and clarity. Learn more...

Here's how the Five-Two concept works: Seymour utilizes sand cast alnico 5 magnets on the three low strings. This adds more definition and punch to the bottom end. Seymour uses sand cast alnico 2 magnets on the three high strings. This gives the player a warm and smooth top end without sacrificing that great Tele "twang." Tele players often complain that their low strings sound "mushy" and their high strings are too bright - especially in the bridge position. The Five-Two concept counteracts this phenomenon. If you look closely at the pickup, you can actually see the difference between the two magnet types. The result is an all-around, extremely well-balanced pickup. The Five-Two has traditional output and vintage appointments such as vulcanized fibre bobbins, formvar wire, a vintage magnet stagger and waxed cloth hookup cable. A custom bridge version is available for more output in the bridge position and a reverse wound, reverse polarity middle pickup can be used to create a hum-canceling effect when used together with the bridge or neck pickup. Originally designed as a recreation of the pickups in the '59 Les Paul Standard that defined the raw, rebellious sound of Texas blues-rock. The Tube was designed to provide a flat, true acoustic response for natural sound. It uses a Stack hum-canceling design and it's extremely feedback resistant. The impedance is lower than other passive acoustic pickups, so it can go straight into a variety of mixers, amps and PA systems. There's also a volume knob right on the pickup for quick and easy control of volume during performances. And installation is a snap! For use with bronze wound strings. Learn more...

The Dimebucker uses a powerful ceramic magnet coupled with stainless steel blades for boot kickin' attitude. The secret to the Dimebucker's hard-hitting crunch is the small amount of metal mass in the core of the pickup. This allows the SH-13 to have both high DC resistance and a high resonant peak. The result is a high-output, aggressive humbucker with lots of treble bite and clarity, as well as punchy bass response and exceptional dynamics. Learn more...
