No longer available at zZounds
11 realistic amp models. 11 high-quality effects. Adjustable output wattage.

The pure tube sound of Valvetronix is more affordable than ever! The new AD100VT, AD50VT, AD50VT-212, AD30VT and AD15VT pack the amazingly versatile tube sound of Valvetronix into amps that introduce a modern twist to the traditional Vox design.

Vox Valve Reactor for True Tube Power Amp Sound and Feel
The AD100VT, AD50VT, AD50VT-212, AD30VT and AD15VT feature the patented Vox Valve Reactor found on all Valvetronix products. The Valve Reactor circuit uses a 12AX7 triode vacuum tube together with an actual low-wattage tube power amp circuit, a virtual output transformer and a dummy speaker circuit that simulates the impedance changes of a real speaker. It also reconfigures itself so that its characteristics are the same as the amps it's modeling (class A, class AB, negative feedback circuit, etc.). This means that all of the nuances of the original amp model including sound, feel, distortion and presence are reproduced accurately.

11 Realistic Amp Models Using Sophisticated Modeling Technology
A total of 11 coveted amp types are provided. Starting with the classic AC30 and ranging from vintage to modern, higain to clean, a variety of amp models are built-in, giving you an incredible range of sound-creating potential. Selecting the amp model and adjusting the tone controls is as intuitive as it gets – just turn the knobs!

11 High-Quality Effects Cover the Basics
Nine standard effects indispensable for any guitarist are built-in. These include auto wah, compressor, phaser, chorus, read more flanger, tremolo, rotary, delay and reverb. With the addition of combination-type effects, you have a total of eleven effects to choose from. Each effect lets you adjust several parameters. There's also a Tap button that makes it easy to set the delay time or modulation speed.

Save Your User Programs in CH1 or CH2
Channel Select mode lets you save 2 of your own programs, including the combination of amp and effect settings. You can access either channel at a touch, for immediate switching while you play.

Easily Select the Classic Sound for Each Amp Type
The new Preset mode gives you a tonal starting point for each amp model. You can enter Preset mode at the touch of a button, and then simply choose an amp model to automatically get the preset sound for that amp. Select a Preset, modify it and save it to CH1 or CH2.

Manual Mode Lets You Hear Your Exact Sound Settings
In Manual mode, the sound you're hearing will be exactly what the knob settings indicate -- just as on a conventional amp. It's visually intuitive, so it's quick and easy to create just the sound you're looking for.

Convenient Line/Headphone Jack for Home Recording or Late-Night Practicing
You can connect the line/headphone jack to your mixer, multi-track recorder or headphones. Since the character of the cabinet is also added to this signal, the sound will have a sense of 'air' and depth even when you're listening through headphones or recording direct. The AD100VT, AD50VT & AD50VT212 all have an external speaker output, and effect-loop jacks have been built into the AD100VT making it convenient to connect with external effect processors.

Adjust the Output Wattage of the Power Amp
The AD100VT, AD50VT & AD30VT let you adjust the output wattage from 1~100W(AD100VT), 1~50W(AD50VT & AD50VT-212) & 1~30W(AD30VT) so you can lower the volume without losing the sense of drive that's unique to tube amps. You can get the great distinctive tube sound at a volume that's appropriate for any location.

Footswitchable Control
If the optional VFS2 dual foot switch is connected, you can use it to switch between user programs (CH1, CH2) or to bypass the effect. Alternatively, you can choose to have the footswitch activate Manual mode instead of Effect Bypass, which gives you hands-free switching between 3 different sounds (the 2 user programs and the Manual settings) for convenience during a live performance.

About Valvetronix Series
When Vox set out to create Valvetronix, the goal was clear -- design a digital modeling amp that sounded and felt great. A versatile amp that could superbly re-create every detail, every nuance of a collection of the world's most sought after guitar amplifiers. An amp that actually lives up to the promise that digital modeling amplifiers appear to offer, but have never achieved -- until now.

The Best of Both Worlds
Vox realized that reaching this goal wouldn't be easy. That it would require top-notch digital technology plus a valve power amp capable of modeling the power amp sections of a ton of classic and modern valve amplifiers. In over 4 tone-filled decades, Vox amplifiers have achieved classic, even cult, status. They're the amps of choice for countless pros. But they knew it would take more than their own guitar amplification expertise. Vox also needed the skill and experience of a high-tech music equipment innovator. From this need, the collaboration between Vox and Korg was born.

Korg is the undisputed leader in the technology-laden world of digital music workstations and the force behind ToneWorks, the first company to master and patent "digital distortion with oversampling," a breakthrough that made high-quality digital recreations of guitar effects and amplifiers (that sounded and felt like the real thing) a reality. Together they've created Valvetronix -- the ultimate, hybrid digital modeling amplifier that sounds, feels and operates like a guitar amp, with no compromises or excuses.

The Front End, Where it All Starts
The preamp sections of the Valvetronix combos rely on Korg's proprietary REMSâ„¢ technology. REMS (Resonant structure and Electronic circuit Modeling System) accurately reproduces the complex circuitry in each of the modeled amplifier's signal paths and re-creates the tonality originally created in those amps. It even replicates their unique tone-stack networks so the Valvetronix' tone controls interact exactly as they do in the amplifiers being modeled! Play any one of the Valvetronix range and you'll hear and feel the difference immediately.

Excellent purchase! I don't think I'll be looking to change this setup anytime soon. The amps meet and exceed my expectations. God forbid, but if something happened to these amps, I would purchase the same setup again. With Vox amps and zzounds, you cannot go wrong!

Sound
The sound is the reason I purchased these amps, they're absolutely stunning. I believe they are the best amps you can buy in the price range, or maybe even in a price range that's twice as much. The sound quality is smooth, clean, dirty and punchy. All the things we love as guitarist. The amps suit my needs, perfectly. The amp sounds great using the internal presets and models. It also accepts outboard effects extremely well. I like the sound of these amps over most, if not all of the other amps I tested. The amp sounds equally as good using it live as it does in the studio. Each sound is unique within itself giving you many sound choices in one light, easy to use amp. If you can afford it, two in stereo is the way to go. If that's not possible at the moment, one does a great job by itself. Two competes with top shelf half stacks all day long with less bulk and weight to lug around.

Features
The amp has a lot of great features. If I had to say one thing that could be better, it would be the enabling of the use of the VC12 foot switch or a compatible pedal that would allow you to control two amps from one switcher, without the need for Y adaptors. read more The amp comes with the power cord, manual and warranty paperwork. You will need to purchase the optional foot switcher; which I feel they should have included with the amp.

Ease of Use
Extremely easy to use. The interface is laid out pretty well. Even a beginner should be able to navigate through this amp with little or no problems. The manual is your typical amp manual, basic but informative.

Quality
The quality is typical Vox. 10+ ...These guys have been at this business of amp manufacturing for a very long time, and it shows in the craftsmanship of the amp.

Value
Incredible value! You could easily pay twice as much for less quality.

Manufacturer Support
I haven't had the need to speak with Vox themselves, but the folks at zzounds are incredibly easy to deal with and very professional as well. I could not believe the deal they gave me on two of these amps. The other thing that blew me away was how fast they shipped them out and how fast they got to me, two days from order to arrival. I'm 5 states over from their location. Do business with this company, you won't regret it.

The Wow Factor
I own two of these amps so that within itself speaks volumes. They are sharp looking amps that I wanted and had to have! They have complimented my overall setup.
