"More is more..."

Feature:
I bought the angled-straight jack combination and it's nice -- angled end into the amp (or pedal board) and the straight jack into the guitar. It's just "cleaner" somehow...

Quality:
I rated this area a 9 but it could be a 10, I'm not sure. I've never even seen a higher grade guitar cable than this one, but I'll bet they're out there somewhere...

Value:
The one I have is more than worth what I paid for it. I've only had it for about half a year so I don't know how it will stand up over time yet.

Desirability:
It looks high end compared to my stock Fender cables that came with my Strat and Tele. Jack tips are gold, sleeves are pearloid, my cable is tweed - overall a nice look. So far, nobody's said it's ugly.

Sound:
Monster Cable made its bones with big wires for speakers. The property in physics we're dealing with here is called impedance. Basically that is the amount of resistance to a signal when passed through wire. Longer/skinnier the cable? Higher the impedance. Monster first introduced cables that were thicker than your old speaker wire and all of a sudden your speakers had a lot more signal and detail in the signal to reproduce. They could breathe easier, to coin a phrase. So it is with the studio grade 1000 level guitar cable. If you really want to hear what your guitar sounds like, give your amp more to work with... use this cable. It is a little stiff because of the gauge of the wire, but boy, do you get something for the trouble!

Ease of Use:
The stiffness takes some getting used to, but the clear, full, rich sound is instantly lovable.

Support:
My experience with Monster Cable is great customer support when it comes to service. I wouldn't expect any different if I had trouble with their instrument cable.

Overall:
If another cable is going to beat this one for sound, it has a ways to go. My experience in higher end gear is that when you get to a fairly high level, small levels of improvement cost lots of money. Monster Cable has a winner here.

"This makes your guitar a weapon."

Quality:
It could be a little more flexible and lighter.

Value:
100$ might sound exessive for a cable but not as such if you couldn't, up to now, get the real sound of a 3,000$ guitar

Desirability:
From it's golden finish (the cause of it's accuracy) to the tiny little modelname strap stickers, this cable looks as good as it sounds.

Sound:
This cable is designed to deliver extremely accurate signal. It provides us with great headroom for hi output pickups and sound doesn't get distorted or damaged in any way but as a result of it's versatility you may get higher Tone, Volume and thicker distortion than with a 30$ cable. So just spent a little time to find the tone you seek for.

About This Product!
Description
This cable offers bandwidth balanced construction for accurate, natural sound reproduction and triple network multigauge Time Correct windings for a precise phase-coherent signal. Other features include microfiber dielectric wrapped wire networks for the fastest transients, maximum clarity, definition, and presence, Multitwist impedance-balanced construction for maximum signal transfer and noise rejection, and durable 24k hard gold contact, heavy duty high-current connectors. It is double shielded with 97% coverage copper braid and has a carbon-infused dielectric for noise rejection.

Balanced Bandwidth Design
This technology combines Time Correct windings with the use of selected multiple-gauged constructions to pass the music in correct amplitude and phase. Monster's balanced design interconnect cables use equal conductors for the positive and negative conductors with a passive "ground" shield. The positive signal must be identical to the negative signal, electrically and magnetically, otherwise there will be an imbalance, causing a resultant signal that is a distortion of the original waveform. That is why coaxial cables, commonly used in low cost interconnects (and some high priced ones also), cannot be correctly time compensated and will always be inaccurate.

The results of distortions in wire are audible because in the analog world, we directly hear the electrical signals transferred to vibrations in the air. These vibrations reach our eardrums, which send the signals to our brain, where we interpret them as music. Any distortions in this chain are correctly and accurately detected in our ability to hear variations in frequency and time, which relates to our perceptions of music, harmonic overtones, directionality, dimensionality, and space. Monster's Bandwidth Balanced constructions overcome most of these distortions (no wire is perfect) in a way that no other cable can. It's obvious that regardless of the purity of the material used (they have evaluated all the various LCOFC, OCC, six 9's copper, etc.), one must still overcome amplitude and time domain distortions to achieve accurate sound reproduction.

Time Correct Windings
While effective in lower cost cables, Amplitude Balanced construction does not complete the whole picture. Time domain distortions can be improved, but cannot be accurately controlled to give us the sonic attributes that are related to phase as described earlier. In interconnect cables Monster corrects these time domain distortions by creating a longer path and higher impedances for the higher frequencies. They cannot speed up the lows, so they must delay the highs. By winding the high frequency conductors to create inductance at those frequencies, we delay them in time to pass through the cable at the same time with the slower lower frequencies. This develops the ability to capture lost phase-related information such as dimensionality, soundstage, imaging, and depth.

MultiTwist
MultiTwist is an advanced cable construction that brings out nuances by minimizing intertransient noise and improving dynamic range.
