Feature:
I purchased the starter package, and the amp was, as stated above, better than expected for a practice amp. He won't be doing any gigs with it, but is is excellent for what is designed for. The strap is a flimsy little thing that went before it was ever strapped to the guitar, but that is about my only bitch with this package.
Quality:
Fit and finish were excellent...only minor complaint is the bridge...could be a little higher quality. Once again, going back to price range...better than expected
Value:
I looked at several different bass guitars in this price range, and chose this one for good reason. It was the best deal I could find. Would do it again tomorrow.
Desirability:
Son thinks it may just be a chick magnet. Time will tell.
Sound:
I bought this package for my son, because he showed an interest in the bass, and I wasn't dissappointed in this one. While not on par with some of the basses I've owned myself in the past, it could hardly be expected to be in the price range it falls in. As for sound, it is crisp, with only minor buzz (much less than I would have expected in a guitar in this price range). I bought it expecting him to want to trade up very soon. After he's had it a while now, though, I suspect it will be some time before he needs to step up, and even then doubt that he will want to part with this slender little bass. The amp supplied with the package exceeded my expectations from a practice amp as well. Overall, a very nice bundle for the money. The "9" rating for sound does take into account the price range of the guitar, and of others in that range that I compared it to. It is certainly not a Geddy Lee Signature, but it is a solid little instrument with plenty of heart and more than a little soul.
Support:
Have had no need to contact them, so can't comment.
Overall:
I do expect him to step up, but not as soon as I had originally expected. I also expect him to want to keep this one around.

Feature:
This package includes everything you need. It's great that you don't have to go out and buy an amp, cable, tuner, bag, etc. seperately.
Quality:
This bass is solid. I haven't had any problems. The finish is tough and stays looking like new even after lugging it to and from lessons.
Value:
This bass is awesome for the price. It's great for any beginner that wants to play bass and has everything you could possibly need in one affordable package.
Desirability:
It's nothing special, but I think it looks cool... I have the red finish.
Sound:
The sound is okay, from what I can tell. I'm not a music expert, but it is perfectly fine for a beginner like me. I have played other starter basses, and this one sounds the best.
Support:
No problems.
