"It rocks"

Overall: 4 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
I probably will buy acessories for it very soon, but I definately will not get a different guitar for a LONG time.
Sound
Perfect sound for the price. But it is impossible to change sounds very fast unless you are right next to the amp.
Features
I felt it had most everything a beginner would need, bet it comes untuned, and it doesn't have a tuner, so a beginner probably would have a hard time.
Quality
I saw absolutely nothing wrong with the way the guitar was made.
Value
It was as good as any other overpriced guitar, but at a very low price.

"I can't fault the package, the Amp is great and the guitar is definitly not bad either."

Overall: 4 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
My son actually prefers playing this guitar to any of mine which is good, I often have a blast on it and to be honest it's not bad at all, I have got used to a slightly thinner body than this one.
Sound
The amp is suprisingly good with a reasonably clear tone even with full overdrive, the volume is more than you will expect from the box
Features
The amp has some nice features which actually work but it takes a little time to sort out what setting is right. Watch out for the strap, don't trust it.
Quality
The finish on the guitar is what you would expect from a model at this end of the price range, perhaps a little better than you would expect, my only gripe is the little details like one of the 3 screws securing the bridge to the body was loose when I got it and the hole for the nut had not been finished off leaving a few splinters showing, not major things at all.
Value
If you but this package you won't be unhappy, I bought this for my son who is just starting to learn and realistically it plays as well as my Yamaha Pacifica which costs a lot more.
Manufacturer Support
Have not needed any support
The Wow Factor

"POSITIVELY THE BEST STARTER GUITAR DEAL AVAILABLE ANYWHERE!!!"

Overall: 5 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
Verified Customer zZounds has verified that this reviewer made a purchase from us.
Once again, I would rate this a 20 if it were possible. This is simply the best deal on the Net. Even if you don't end up playing like a pro, it's still great to have it. You get all of these quality items for the price of two new video games. I don't know how you guys do it. And I've had, and used, my package for about a month and it still works fine. You have a customer for life.
Sound
I'm a novice with amps and guitars, but it sounds great to me. Make sure you tune the guitar properly before playing. I was playing for over a week with the E and B strings seriously out of tune. Now, they all sound great.
Features
I don't even know how to work all the features properly -- still need to read all the manuals -- but I know how to work the volume and get the sound crankin'. The manual is much better than I thought, and the amp is well made and solid.
Quality
My guitar, amp, and accessories came without one nick or scratch. The guitar and the amp are fine quality. Quite honestly, I expected a much lower grade product because of the price.
Value
I'd actually give a 20 here, if it were possible. I have never received so much for so little.
Manufacturer Support
This is an area most companies fall short in, but not here. I called before I ordered. (Because of a few bad experiences buying online, I make sure I can call a customer service number before ordering ANYTHING, unless I'm a repeat customer.) The guy I worked with was even nicer than the low price of the package! Kudos to you for training their staff well. The rep was a big part of why I went with the sell.
The Wow Factor
I love the black and white. Very sleek, very sexy. I do wish that they offered color options, though. I may have taken a red/white or blue/white, if it was offered. Other color options almost persuaded me to order another guitar from somewhere else.

"Crazy good deal!!!!!!!!!!!!"

Overall: 5 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
i figure that this is the best deal u can get. if id have to do it over again i would. one thing id say tho is that if u dont buy this package at least buy the amp seperatly, or one from the vtone family, im sure ull like it.
Sound
the sound of tis guitar s great for beginers, after playing for like a year the pickups start to go, but hey, its great for that year, and ur a beginer, and u dont pay much for it.
Quality
i have had this prduct for about 10 months now. the amp i think is the best practice amp ever. my brother got an amp that cost double what my v-tone did, and his sucks. it doesnt give near the great sound as this one does. my strap kind of ripped, but thas cus i used it and wore the hell outa it. but just get a d'addro one for 2 bucks and it works fine. the cable broke, but thas to be acpected. the bag is fine, it does its job. the picks are ok but u can get picks for like 25 cents. lastly is the guitar. the guitar works fine. my only problem with it is the bottom string doesnt always get pickd up when u pick it. but hey, its cheap. other than that i love it. i can see myself playing it in the future. not as a first choice guitar but as a back up.
Value
i think its the best value u can get. the strap and cable may not be to great, and the guitar may not be the best, but with the amp u can make anyone sound good.
Manufacturer Support
nvr had problems....
The Wow Factor
its not so much for the guitar, its that amp... i love it, it blows my uncles fender frontman outa the water, and his amp is a 120 wat.

"Great guitar to start on..."

Overall: 4 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
Overall it was a great guitar to learn on (despite the buzzing and sound quality), and I recommend it to beginners only.
Sound
It has great sound to it, but if your looking to play hard rock (AC/DC, Ozzy, etc.) this guitar is O.K.
Features
The amp for this guitar is plain awesome. The amp alone is worth $100 in my opinion. The strap broke though... and after 10 months of playing, the chord went out... This december I am moving up to a les paul standard.
Quality
The guitar isn't the best, but for a beginner it's a dream... Definatly dosen't work out in a band though.
Value
Overall i'd say it plays about the same as a squier-fender stratocaster. The amp is awesome though. The tremelo plays weird and it buzzes A LOT!
Manufacturer Support
I haven't needed to require the support yet.
The Wow Factor
This guitar does have a great look to it, but after it is tweaked a little and the strings are changed, it sounds great for a beginner. Definatly a great instrument to start on!

"GREAT amp- ???? Guitar"

Overall: 2.5 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
Verified Customer zZounds has verified that this reviewer made a purchase from us.
Bottom line? The amp is great and almost worth the price of the entire package alone. The guitar is a throw-in. It's cheap, but not bad. Plays o.k. but not great. Sounds great for the money. You will want something else soon. If you can buy just the amp do it, and buy a better guitar. I bought a Squier strat for 149.00 and highly reccomend it. If the money's not there or you just can't wait, this is not a bad package to get started, you'll just be wanting to upgrade a whole lot sooner than if you start with a little better guitar. Not a BAD deal at all, though.
Sound
Surprisingly good sounding guitar for the money. Amp is worth the $99 paid for the package.
Features
Amp-first rate. Guitar-just o.k. Has all the features of a Squier Stratocaster, just slightly lower quality.
Quality
There are two distinct pieces here. Again, the amp is first-rate, a "10". The guitar is another story. The finish was good. The body isn't as slimmed down as a real strat. The bridge isn't the best and isn't all chrome. The nut had sharp corners on it. The worst thing about it is the tuners. The are commensurate with the price of the guitar-cheap. They are more difficult than they should be to achieve tune, and the guitar needs tuning every time I pick it up. Not a big deal, but annoying after a while. They don't have locknuts on top of the shafts. Again, to be fair, they are what you are paying for.
Value
Amp-unbelievable! Guitar-just fair. The package-see below.

Next time I would save a little more money and buy a Fender/Squier or Ibanez pack instead.
Sound
Sounds is good and the electronics are very good.
Features
The amp and accessories are solid. Behringer always have good electronics.
Quality
The guitar is total crap. It will not stay in tune whatsoever. The frets are sharp on the ends, plus the overall finish of the guitar is sub-par.
Value
Decent buy but the shortcomings are very present and have yet to get better.

Features
It came with tons of thing, which is perfect if your just starting out.
Quality
For the price, great quality.
Value

THIS PRODUCT SUCKS
Sound
The amp gives out the nastiest sound I have ever heard from any musical instrument.
Features
I use everything on the guitar to make i sound better. I'm thankful for the picks, and the strap for the one and a half week it lasted me. I like the Guitar itself. The amp I dislike so much.
Ease of Use
The more you use it the more you lean. You can never get a satisfing sound out the amp though.

"Dont waste your money"

Overall: 1 out of 5 stars

I liked it until i took it out of the box
Sound
Sound is mediocre, the amp is probably worth about $15. If your planning to buy this POS, well , then don't.
Features
Needed more pics. I lost the three in like 2 days. The strings on the guitar sucked too.
Quality
Guitar was made with cheap materials and would break in a second if you played it at a show, the pressure is on so you can't worry about the guitar.
Value
Well sure it doesn't cost much but it still sucks.
Manufacturer Support
I never tried to deal with the compony about something that is wrong w/ the guitar because i dont think they would have been to happy if i called and said "Your guitar sucks, and is a complete waste of money"

Features

Ease of Use

If you're like me and you're just learning to play electric, you probably can't tell the difference between the different brands and the little flaws. If this is you, buy it! Its cheaper than most and it sounds like any other electric guitar. The only little flaw on mine is that when you press down on the first fret, of the low E and A string, it kind of buzzes down on the second fret. Other than that, it's great!

Quality
I was skeptical 109 bucks, i figured it was some piece of junk until my friend got one. its made from maple hardwood. the amp sounds great. yes it made over seas probably Korea or China but it sounds as good as some of my american made high dollar ones. so i bought one for my self without spending alot. the only thing I dont like is the strap, but straps are cheap anyway so purchase another and better strings they sound much better.

great
Sound
can't beat it for its price
Features
needs a tuner, strap is cheap, the amp is well worth the money, no floyd rose tremelo so if you use the whammy bar enough you will lose your tune common in this set up with even more expensive models.
Quality
this amp is worth the money, no problems dropped the guitar a couple of time works fine. my dog jumped on it and the dog is 100 pounds, it still works like new. sounds fine ,holds it tune.

price is cheap, great for anyone

Behringer V-Tone Guitar and Amplifier Package Customer Review

Overall: 1 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
As you can imagine, there is no way they can make this whole package for $100 and change. There is literally no way they could even assemble raw materials of even poor quality for this price. Even in nigthtmare sweatshops where slave laborers make 1 cent per month and are forced to stay at their dreadful machines until they drop dead and are replaced from an inexhaustible pool of forced labor, you could not afford to do this. Well, they don't. What they have, and it IS somewhere over in China, is this sort of a Willie Wonka Chocolate Machine thing, and they dump loads of garbage from the streets of Beijing into a chute on top, and lights flash and bells ring, and these guitar / amp paks come pooting out the bottom on a conveyor belt. Then, concealed beneath the decks of vast human slave ships they are brought to America and sold for a .00001 cent profit in order to destroy the legitimate guitar industry. Thanks for letting me clear this up.

"Great buy-just needs new strings and cable!"

Overall: 4.5 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)

This review has been selected by our experts as particularly helpful.
Having recently returned to playing the guitar, this more than meets my needs. If I steadily improve, I would consider upgrading, but would have no problem retaining this package.
Sound
The sound is fairly good. I found that by replacing the strings and getting a noise free cable, that it made all the difference in the world. The manual is very helpful for providing various combinations to achieve various sounds.
Features
The package came with a variety of accessories. A tuner would have been helpful. Fortunately, I have a piano upon which I can rely to tune my guitar. The strap was not good. One end of the strap was double layered, making it impossible to slip the end over the peg on the bottom of the guitar. The thin cable caused humming and this was eliminated with a noise free cable.
Quality
Quality control and fit and finish are great. I have read complaints about the guitar being scratched. I found that the pickboard appears scratched but this is remedied by removing the protective plastic film over the pickboard.
Value
An amazing buy for $110. I saw similar packages for twice the price with cheaper amps and crudely made guitars.
Manufacturer Support
The Behringer website is comprehensive and contains all of the manuals on line.
The Wow Factor
A great guitar package. Additional color choices would have been nice.

"This is an amazing value. Having read complaints from previous posts, I found that by merely replacing the strings and getting"

Overall: 5 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
Verified Customer zZounds has verified that this reviewer made a purchase from us.
Having not played for numerous years, I plan on building up my skills through practice. I may then invest in another guitar. However, I do not forsee any reason to not use this one as well.
Features
The package contained many accessories. A tuner would have been helpful. Fortunately I have a piano that I use to tune my guitar. The strap was problematic for one end was so thick that I could not slip it over the peg at the bottom of the guitar.
Quality
I was totally amazed by the quality for a $110 outfit. I looked at packages twice the price and they had cheap amps and crudely made guitars. Some people have complained about the pickboard being scratched. Mine looked scratched until I removed the protective plastic film. Then it was very clean.
Value
An incredible buy for what one receives. The amp could easily be worth the price alone.
Manufacturer Support
The Behringer website is very informative. All information and manuals are readily available.
The Wow Factor
It stacks up comparatively speaking to other packages that I have seen for twice the price. The only limitation is color.

"good begginer guitar"

Overall: 3.5 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
i knew from the moment i bought this guitar it was nothing special but i still bought it (with no regrets becasue it has served its purpose well over the 6 months i have owned it)
Quality
for the price you definatly cant go wrong with this guitar. great for begginers. i have had this for a few months and i sometimes just want to put it neck first through a wall becasue of the little (and big) ticks from it that just keep anoying me. ex. cable isnt to great considering when you step on it, it crackles pretty loud. When you switch the amp setting to a clean mode and then go back to heavier distortion it sounds like your playing in a cave with regards to the way the amp has an anoying echoeing sound. And another thing is i go through my high e's like crazy, at one point, i was probably going through 3-4 strings a week (fixed it though) Anyways it's a good guitar if youre just starting out. Great for the price and a good aray of accesories.

I think i will not be upgrading for a while with this guitar and if i do it is if i get amazing overnight or somehting. Just kidding
Sound
I love the sound of this guitar espically when you crank distortion it will sound awesome. Although you have to have a good song to play on it.
Features
This is a great quality guitar for the price. If this package wasnt available I would not of gotten this package. Comes with everything you need. Although, it would be nice if it came with an electric tuner instead of doing it out of the book that came with the package.
Quality
Had very minor scratches that you cant see unless you really stared at it but overall a very nice glossy finish on guitar. Everything in working in order, no loose parts.
Value
This is the cheapest guitar package out and it is by far better than many other packages that are more expensive.
Manufacturer Support
as of know i havent had to call customer service, the shipping was as said, three days to New York from New Jersey.
The Wow Factor
A very nice looking guitar, the only thing i suggest is that you add more colors and it will sell like a beast. OOps i mean it will sell like a beast Nasty. (really good)

Overall: 5 out of 5 stars

Look above and see what I think.
Sound
I love the sound of this guitar. It is very expressive and the guitar stays in tune for a long time (if you put on new strings)
Features
The onnly bad part is the strap. Don't trust it.The amp is the best thing in this package. It has loads of settings, but it sounds best on "clean".
Quality
Very good quality, almost as good as a strat, but it sure as heck looks like one. Very nice black finish.
Value
If i oculd i would give it a 100 out of 10. Just think about it....you are getting a guitar, an amp, gig bag, picks, a strap, and a chord chart all for 109 dollars. It is by far the best deal on the net.
Manufacturer Support
Very good suppourt- Behringer is very customer-friendly and easy to contact.

Overall: 4.5 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
I was going to have to pay almost as much for a 10w prcatice amp. Considering the low price of this guitar & amp it is certainly not bad. I put on a set of strat strings ($5 bullets) the first week (If you don't change the factory strings you have to tune it every time you pick it up). The amplifier in this package is great for a practice amp, All of the settings are great.

"Great Guitar"

Overall: 5 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
Well my friend owns a more expensive guitar and amp and the sound is horrible. I thought this was a great first guitar and any other stage of guitars you are on. It was something cheap like I wanted, but it also had great sound quality. I've had it for 2 months now and dropped it 3 times, but it is just as good as before. I was afraid I was going to get a piece of junk with the price being so low, but this Behringer is great.
Sound
Great sound quality
Features
All the features and accessories were included and in great condition. I used to play the Acoustic guitar, I was a little more advanced, but just so you know the picks are thin quality. When you are using the strap be very careful. The strap will not hold the guitar alone. You need to support the weight.
Quality
The pick guard was scratched becuase there was no protection. Otherwise the 3 times I've dropped it, it still lives.
Value
Actually I would give it an 11 because it is worth more money then how much it is listed for because of the quality.
Manufacturer Support
I only had the problem of the wrong language instruction booklet, but when I called they told me to call a different number.
The Wow Factor
It was a great first guitar that I definatly recomend to anyone.

Overall: 3 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
ill probably keep this 4 about 3 months b4 i get a epiphone les paul. if u keep good care of it it shouldnt brake, just i want a les paul.
Sound
Ummm.... i would characterize this product as a good starter guitar, if you already have a guitar dont get this cause nomatter what u have its better than this, but it is still a good guitar for startin... the sound quality is pretty good, i play alternative rock and such, and the amp that it comes with can give the guitar some bass, so the amp is good 2. id probably replace the guitar b4 i replace the amp,the sound is not all that expressive, good but not expressive, and no the guitar did not get the sound i wanted, inorder to get the sound i wanted i need a foot petal,no sounds are better than others, and w/out an amp this guitar still sounds good, just not LOUD! loud is good. it sounds basically the same in differnt settings, just the whammy bar and switch make a different sound. the other stuff im using are a electric tuner, it doesnt even have to b a good 1 (mine cost 10 dollars the cheapest 1) but it makes you life easier, the tips im gunna give u are only that this is a starter guitar, if u wanna make it sound better send it back and get a gibson les paul.
Features
the thing came with a amp, gig bag, picks and all the cords, but it should have come with a tuner and foot pedal. all features where useful except the whammy bar.
Quality
its got pretty good quality for its class, no blemishes nothin loose, but lets just put it this way, it aint no gibson
Value
its worth every penny, everythings price added up would probably get you about $125-150 if it were all brand new.
Manufacturer Support
the place shipped in 3 days, just normal ground, no 1 day or 2, which are very expensive so unless u NEED it the next day, get ground
The Wow Factor
its not sexy, like i wouldnt take it 2 bed, but dont ask me, i like the les paul look, but if this is the look u want, get it.

"I would buy this package again"

Overall: 5 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
I will keep the amp forever -- it's loaded with features, they all work, and the amp really sounds cool. Fun. If I lost the guitar, I would replace it with a "real" guitar, at least like an Epiphone SG or Les Paul. But even though the guitar is kind of cheap, it works fine. I recommend this package highly.
Sound
Once you adjust the guitar some, it sounds fine. Have someone lower the action for you. The amp sounds GREAT. Fantastic amp. I am not a guitarist -- I am a drummer just now learning the guitar. So, I know a little about them from bandmates.
Features
The amp has all sorts of adjustments -- really fun. The tone controls on the guitar don't do a lot -- but you can adjust the sound plenty through the amp. Okay guitar, great amp. For $100, a bargain, I think.
Quality
I mean, this is not a high-quality guitar, but for the price, it works just fine. The amp seems to be high quality.
Value
I read a lot of reviews of this guitar package and others before I bought this one -- I am sure there are better packages out there, but not for $100. I'm 46 years old, I've had this Behringer package for three months, and I play every day. I download guitar tablature on the Internet for free, and I keep the guitar on a stand (not in a case) so it's right there, ready to play.
The Wow Factor
To my guitarist friends, the guitar seems cheap, but not crappy, you know what I mean? It LOOKS great. On close inspection, you can see they had to cut a lot of corners to make the guitar and amp go for $100, but they cut smart corners -- the package works just fine.
