More and more players are passing up the lifeless looks and tired tones of "beginner basses" and going to GSR Soundgear basses -- which is why GSR Soundgears are now the most popular basses in their price range in the world. With GSR Soundgears, you get the looks, tone and comfort -- and the same warranty, rigorous set-up and inspection -- of Ibanez's most expensive basses. 2003 GSR models come equipped with the pro B10 bridge for even better tone and stability. the tone on this bass is incredible. i run it through a svt3 pro head and a 1x15 classic and 4x10 classic cabs and it wails all day long.

"Perfect bass but the sound is kinda off."

Feature:
One word. Simple. You dont need any instruction manual on how to work this bass. Its the easiest Ive seen.

Quality:
The pickplate on this thing is one of a kind. Its AMAZING! Everything is on well and nothing has fallen of yet,a nd I dont think it ever will.

Value:
For under 500 dollars its perfect. I would probobly buy it if it was 1000 dollars.

Desirability:
The pickplate is one of a kind, and the cheery natural finish is also amazing.

Sound:
This is really the only problem I have with this bass. The "E" string is a bit ronchy but that can be good for those Funk players. or people who want to sound like Flea from the red hot chili peppers, because you can actually produce a Slapping style withought knowing how to.

Support:
Well I never needed to speak to them. Because there were no problems. So Its a compliment.

Overall:
Very nice bass but it isnt for everyone. the ronchiness may turn some people off, but thats with most Ibanez's

About This Product!
Description
Docs
SRX Soundgear Xtreme basses were designed for players who want an easy-to-play bass with simple controls and "beyond massive" pickups that can pump out loud, heavy rock. Period. However, for players for whom simple and powerful just aren't simple and powerful enough, we've added the new "plug in and pulverize" SRX400's. Loaded with a single PFR-AL alnico magnet pickup and the new PHAT II active bass boost, SRX400 basses prove that ridiculously loud and great tone aren't mutually exclusive terms.

Series Features:
Powerful and simple. Designed for the heavy rock bassist.

Super high-output passive full-range pickups with exposed pole pieces give a new meaning to the word loud.

Simple to operate 2-band EQ or PHAT II active bass boost. So you play more bass and less with the tone controls.

5-string offers wide string pitch and neck width. 5-string neck-thru model now available for 2003.

Have you seen the headlines? "Guitar rock is back."
We're happy to hear it. Except at Ibanez, guitar rock never "left" - and if you're the type of player who reads Ibanez catalogs, you've been too busy playing guitar or bass to worry a whole lot about the media's take on music. However, the papers are right about one thing: there are more new guitar and bass guitar styles than ever before. That's why there are more different kinds of guitars and basses in the 2003 Ibanez line up.
