This model comes with the standard tuning of GCEA, but the strings are doubled like a 12 string guitar. This handcrafted ukulele is made with Nato (otherwise known as Eastern Mahogany) for its top back and sides. When mahogany is paired with a rosewood fingerboard, it brings out a round, mellow tone with an articulate mid-range that is often missing from instruments in this price range. And with its on-board electronics, the Lanikai LU-8E is ready to plug in on stage or in the studio.
