"Buy one, you won't be dissappointed, they are harder to find and well worth looking for!!"

Feature:
mad sweet bridge adjuster

Quality:
i'm telling you, you will not be disappointed, especially with the price compared to others!! this is a must buy!

Value:
will never be beat!!

Desirability:
different look than any other guitar, great body shape, love the clear picguard, and the design is unique only to yamaha!

Sound:
Whenever I plug it in and play a concert, the sound guys say they would rather this axe play over a taylor anyday. i wouldn't disagree!

Support:
haven't had any problems, while shooting a music video, guitar straped on behind me, i dropped it on the head and it went facedown on a rock, needless to say i didn't have to do anything, still works perfect!! very well built!

Overall:
i will never need to buy another guitar!!

"Envy of mid-level Martin and Taylor owners"

Feature:
Great sound system -- sounds crisp through the amp. Nice control of mix between mic and piezo pickups.

Quality:
Absolutely beautiful inlaid wood work around the soundhole and head. The only problem I have encountered was the output jack coming loose.

Value:
Great tone, high quality, aesthetically beautiful compared to the low-end Taylors and Martins available in the same price range.

Desirability:
Absolutely beautifully designed cutaway. Nautical theme, inlaid wood artwork makes it especially attention-grabbing.

Sound:
I play with friends that own mid-level Martins and Taylors. They are envious of the tome and the volume.

Support:
Haven't required company support.

Overall:
No plans to change -- ever. If it were lost, damaged, or stolen I would search for another one, but only after an appropriate grieving period!

The Compass Series is an ideal place to launch your acoustic journey.

Nautical Design

Solid Spruce Top

Rosewood Back and Sides

Gold Tuners

System 45 Preamp w/ Piezo Pick-up + Microphone

Natural Finish

Limited Lifetime Warranty

The excellent 2-way piezo/mic system -- the mic mounted in fixed position underneath the bridge plate -- allows both signals to be blended for the ultimate in acoustic-like realism, while the 4-band EQ includes presence for added sparkle and a variable midrange (300Hz - 2kHz) for extended tonal adjustment. The supplied soundhole cover helps prevent feedback in high-volume situations.

CPX15 Controls
The CPX15 features a 2-way pickup system consisting of a piezo pickup mounted in the bridge and a condenser microphone attached to a gooseneck mounted inside the body. While the piezo system reproduces string vibration, the microphone is used to pickup the guitar`s acoustic tone produced within the body.

The CPX15's preamp incorporates a Blend Control to mix Ribbon Transducer pickup's tight electric-acoustic sound with that of the condenser microphone`s rich and warm acoustic tone. The 4-band equalizer equipped with an Adjustable Midrange Frequency (AMF) control offers precise sound tailoring of the overall tone.

Bracing
Bracing is a critical factor in the overall tone produced by the guitar. The Compass series`s use of an X bracing design with placement closer to the sound hole affording greater bass response from the instrument.

Sound Hole Cover
The sound Hole cover supplied with the CPX15 prevents feedback from the condenser microphone when performing live.
