Feature:
Bought the guitar like new off of a friend, so I don't know what it came with originally. The dual tone knobs are quite useful, though the bridge tone is more usable for me. the pickup selector selector being a potentiometer rather than switch, can be viewed either as a positive or negative depending on playing syle. Body is beautifully hand-crafted, with a very heavy wood, and appears to be one solid chunk of wood, excluding the fingerboard. I find the knobs to be a little close together for quick adjustment, and as another here stated, the volume knob does tend to be overly touchy.
Quality:
I Consider this one of my three babies(along with my girl and my car), She is remarkably beautiful to any eye, and fits easily in any crowd. Body is solid with incredible finish and inlay. Some have complained about a sticker serial no., but mine seems to have been etched into the back of the head, along with the phrase, "Handcrafted in Vietnam. I do notice a few spaces where the pickup holes don't fit the pups quite right. The only problem I can comment roots in the plug output, as the hardware frequently came loose. This resulted in twist, which ripped one wire off the assembly inside. The plate came off with no trouble, and I easily soldered the wire back on, and tightened the nut. I have had no troubles since. I would recommend to any who buy this guitar, open it up and tighten the nut on the output right away, and you'll have yourself an excellent guitar.
Value:
Nothing compares. There is nothing on the market that delivers the quality, sound, beauty, and class for the price. It normally sells at around $400US, though I picked this one up for next to new(still had the price tag hanging from the neck) for only $200. I feel very lucky in this, as I had a friend offer it to me after becoming overwhelmed with the price tag of an extensive collection, after only having played it a few times.
Desirability:
It really is a work of art,(I've heard that exact statement numerous times) which any and all can appreciate. The wood grains and inlays, neck through body design, and beautiful curves scream, "Look At Me, Play Me, Love Me!"
Sound:
SOund is excellent, Has a very clean deep throat, and reaches into the higher band-range extremely well.
Ease of Use:
I learned on this bass, and have found it easier than any other I've played. For a first bass, there is no other choice. The neck is smooth and quick, though I originally found it difficult to mute the string rattle at the left hand(I guess that can be expected with any bass though, as the strings are so heavy). I would like a little more range of sound, it does sometimes lack that super punchy sound, of an active p-up, but more than makes up for it in clean deep throat. I found that the fifth(B) string was an excellent tool for learning as it helped me to keep my left hand located, by resting my thumb on B. It is quite heavy though. I often practice sitting on a barstool in my jam room, and the curves are quite comfortable, but after a while it starts to wear on my leg.
Support:
No experience, only repair was made in my jam room
Overall:
I will play this bass till I die, assuming nothing happens to it in the mean time. I just bought a new dean electric guitar as my first six string, and will probably get something else in the future, but as for this quality Peavey bass, there is none other. I might someday get a second(hoping they're still on the market) to keep tuned differently, and save time....
In short form; There is no other bass

Feature:
for a 5-string and its price, its definety a one of a kind. ull never find a bass better than this for that price range. its sexy, i really loved the curves. the wood finsh, suberb! i bought this in a instrument store back in the philipines. it was on sale. i purchased it for a LOW LOW price! but i cant find the serial number, i beliv grind basses' serial numbers are placed in stickers. wished peavey just carved it.
it was on sale because it was an old stock. it was rusty and very dusty. but for the price, it was a great catch. i just cleaned it at home and played wtih this baby.. i often use the lower 4srtings, and just use the b-string as a support for my thumb. i only use the b-string when i am at a high scale and use it for an open B note with its "BOOOOOOM" thump low sound.
Quality:
well the quality honestly is substandard, the finish isnt that clean.(remember i bought this full of dirt) but that my style, a lil filthy haha but not too filthy.. but for the price, who cares man. ill still buy this. i recomend this product if ur on a tyt budget. this one is a keeper
Value:
i bought this for a cheap price but i purchesed this product 3x times its worth. realy good product even if it is cheap.
Desirability:
the best! i use this for recording to fill in my guitar. it really bends with my music.. again it has this warm tone because of it passive pickups. one of the best bargain i ever had
Sound:
wish it was active. it lacks punch even if you tweak ur amp. the pickups doesnt give a lot of output.. but this baby sounds like an upright. it has this distinct warm tone good for light jazzy fusion genre. or maybe my pickups were conected with the opposite polarity, ill check it out, or ill just upgrade both of its pickups and put a preamp for more boost.
Ease of Use:
the neck is realy fast, REALY FAST! i can do the things i do in a guitar with this bass. you can sweep you can do chords. the neck is thin, ideal for my small hands. im actulay a guitarist and i just this for fun. but this bass is no frills..
the body is very sleek, at the same time ergonomic(hope i got that right). it is very light and doesnt strain any part of ur body. you can play this even at very dark places because the bass really becomes a part of you. you can feel what you are playing even without looking whether you are at a the right fret or at thr right string. very easy to play, makes ur creative juisces flow with this instrument
Support:
havent tried it yet
Overall:
this is tottaly the best bass ever! ill keep it and never sell this nor trade this with anything. try it, buy it. if you dont believe me, try listening to "up dharma down" a filipino experimental-fusion band. their bassist is using a peavey 5string grind. the bassist uses the grind bass, just the bass and the amp, he rarely uses effects because the guitarist uses alot of effects allredy. he adds a litle dirt with thier melodic and jazzy music.
