I never write reviews (in fact I think this is my first one ever) but felt compelled to in this case. First of all, the original shipment of the Pearl Rope Tuned Fiberglass Djembe didn't arrive as scheduled. This was no fault of ZZounds, however. Even though the packaging was labeled correctly, somehow it ended up at a different address (most likely that it was delivered to the wrong address by the shippers) and it didn't show up at our house until about three weeks late when someone dropped it off at our front porch when we weren't home (it was still unpacked). Of course I hadn't waited for it to show up all that time. After I noticed it hadn't arrived as originally scheduled, and after I confirmed with the shipping company that we should have received it, I immediately called and emailed ZZounds. To make a long story short, ZZounds just asked me a few questions like whether or not I had checked to see if one of the neighbors had picked it up. When I confirmed they hadn't, the representative from ZZounds took my word for it and immediately sent a replacement djembe (which arrived in a day or two). When the original misdeliverd package arrived a week or so later, I informed ZZounds and they emailed me a pre-paid shipping label to make it convenient for me to return the original package. In short, I felt the misdelivery was no fault of theirs and, in spite of that, they promptly sent me a replacement anyway. As for the instrument itself, my six-year old son loves it.
