Schecter Raiden Elite 5 Customer Review
I won't need to buy another bass ever. This is gonna do it all for me. Rock'nRoll, Worship, Jazz, Heavy Rock it will do it all no problem. For the money you can't beat this bass.
Sound
I'm a guitarist who's been playing rock n roll, and jazz for 28 years and wanted to purchase a descent bass for recording. The action on the Schecter Raiden Elite 5 is awesome. The pickups sound great and totally pro compared to in-active basic pickups. I was real impressed how I could shape the tone with the tone control knobs to get just about anything I wanted to fit in the mix. I realize it is not a $2,000 instrument but it sounds really great. I'm not a bass player but have played a lot of bass guitars and some are ok and some play super nice. This one plays super nice!!! The tone of this bass sounds great to me and smooth. Not "flabby" at all like the cheap bass guitars.
Features
The make build of the wood and quality of parts like bridge fretboard and tuners are very nice too. I have a custom shop Fender Strat and a hand made Brian Moore from NY and so I am super spoiled when it comes to guitars and I am so happy with the quality of this guitar and materials used. I bought it on a huge sale discount at $399.00 - $50.00 sale so I got it for $349.00 and it feels every bit like a $1,000.00 instrument. I love how the strings are closer together on a 5 string. Probably because I'm a guitar player. The frets are a little small… read more so a beginner may have more trouble pushing down and getting a clean tone but I love it because there is no fret buzz.
Ease of Use
The bass player from my church worship band played it last week and loved it. Through the PA it was really nice sounding and filled the room with great tone. Nice having that 5th string for sure.
Quality
I expect it to last a very long time with the 6 bolt neck and solid feel. I liked this bass so much after purchasing it I bought the hard shell case made for it. The Schecter SGR10R Raiden bass case is the perfect fit. Got that for $116.00. The bass doesn't move around at all and is a total custom fit. Don't buy the generic Schecter bass case. I've read reviews it is a little small for this bass but this is the recommended case on the Schecter website. Awesome.
Value
Total deal at this price!!! Unbelievable.
The Wow Factor
The bass looks like a really expensive 5 string.
Musical Background:
28 years playing electric guitar. Yes I've played professionally in a top 40 80's band and Christian original rock band.
Musical Style:
