Dunlop Uni-Vibe UV1SC Stereo Chorus Pedal

Intensity, Speed, and Mix controls.

The new Uni-Vibe Stereo Chorus was inspired by the original classic Uni-Vibe, which gave Hendrix and Trower their hypnotizing rotating speaker sound. This unit produces all the air, phasey rotating-speaker sound in 2 dimensions within a small, rugged package. The stereo image this pedal achieves is worthy of the name Uni-Vibe! The Uni-Vibe Stereo Chorus gives you the control to vary the mix of left and right outputs from spatially wide to classic mono.

Features
Top access Intensity, Speed, and Mix controls.

Heavy-duty bypass switch.

"ON" status LED, which pulsates at the speed rate.

The input and Left and Right outputs are located on the sides of the unit for easy signal chaining.

Powered by the Dunlop ECBO3 AC Adapter and/or 9-volt battery.

"Don't Be Asses! Buy a Dunlop Uni-Vibe Stereo Chorus!"

Overall: 5 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
Hopefully, this pedal will last for as long as I do! It is always on my pedal-board and almost always on. If it were lost or stolen, I would be very sad and would search for another one until I found it!

Sound
When I bought this pedal, I was looking for a pedal that would create a true pitch-shifting vibrato - like an old Boss VB-2 or like the vibrato built-in to my Magnatone 260 amp. This pedal does just that! I love it! I use the vibrato output, set the Mix at zero, turn the intensity to about 10 o' clock and set the Speed at 12 o' clock. Voila, musical perfection for around a hundred bucks! Beautiful, lush pitch-shifting vibrato - just like a violinist creates by rocking his/her left hand on a string. If Dunlop quits making this pedal, they are ABSOLUTE ASSES! They never did a good job of advertising its capabilities in the first place!

Features
Besides the fantastic, above-mentioned vibrato, this pedal also creates an incredible full-on, fat-bottomed Leslie effect. If Dunlop quits making this pedal, they are ABSOLUTE ASSES! They never did a good job of advertising its capabilities in the first place!

Ease of Use
This pedal is easy to get great sounds from, but it does take some time to really get to know it and find the exact sounds you are looking for. If Dunlop quits making this pedal, they are ABSOLUTE ASSES! They never did a good job of marketing it in the first place! read more

Quality
The case on this is a "BRICK." It is, essentially, an oversized MXR box. The switch is very heavy-duty. I have owned this effects pedal for many years and have never had a problem with it. If Dunlop quits manufacturing this pedal, they are ABSOLUTE ASSES. This pedal is FANTASTIC! They never BRAGGED THIS THING UP THE WAY THEY SHOULD HAVE!

Value
Is this worth the price? Are you kidding me? If you've always wanted pitch-shifting vibrato, like a Magnatone 280 or a great Leslie effect - buy one of these FAST, QUICKLY, NOW - while they're still available! At 100 bucks, they're a steal! I don't think Dunlop is continuing this product - they must be COMPLETE ASSES!

Manufacturer Support
I have never dealt with anybody at this company. I like the sturdiness of their cases. I like the simplicity of their control layouts. I love the way that they keep bring back classic designs of the past! These OLDIES were also the GOODIES! Let's face it, they were!

The Wow Factor
Who gives a rip what it looks like! Alright, it is fairly ugly and utilitarian! But, it sounds FANTASTIC - assuming you are a real musician and want true musical tone! If you just want ear-piercing, obnoxious noise; who really cares about you're type anyways! You just make things irritating for the rest of us!
