The Tube Preamp System (TPS) features Twin high performance discrete preamplifiers with local feedback, and are coupled with ART's Variable Valve Voicing (V3) 12AX7A gain stage, giving the unit incredible flexibility and versatility. Unique to its class, the unit provides level monitoring via 2 analog meters. High-Z instruments or balanced microphone signals are input through front and rear panel jacks.

The new enhanced mic pre-amp can accept +20dB peaks while maintaining over 120dB dynamic range and incredibly low distortion. Enhancements to ART's legendary tube stage maintain the classic "warm sound" and add additional tube voicings specifically tailored to voice, guitar, bass, and acoustic instruments making this an incredible microphone preamplifier and DI box. OPL is available to control overshoots and normalize levels before digital clipping occurs.

Great product. If you use it only as a DI for acoustic guitars it's worth the price.
Sound
For the money this tube pre-amp is great. I don't always agree with the pre-sets,but then they tell you to play with it! I am quite impressed with the warmm sounds acoustic guitars have on the "valve" setting.
Features
Very handy piece of gear. The pre sets are nice starting point to really tweak a great tone.
Quality
You just can't beat this thing for the money. My 2 are quiet as can be. I don't know what all the power supply noise issues are about?
