"Small is BIG!"

Support:
Third year and no support needed!

Overall:
Least: Has only one input jack. Otherwise, I will never need another. If stolen, lost etc., I would get another but probably not for the price I paid. Great amp, indoors or out!

"i'm very suprised by all the good revies for this, read mine!"

Feature:
alot of features, but nothing amazing the presance it usless if you turn it lower than 10 then you may aswell be playing bass ...icky! muddy hell, all the effect arn't really great there all very similar in the reverd/delay department, the other like flange chourus aint great either, i'd much much rather use 'Boss' pedals instead, but the reverb are great though very impressed with them.

Quality:
i have no beef with marshall i love there products (minus this) marshalls are built like tanks!! excellant quility.

Value:
for the amount of features on this amp i'd say its worth it, just wish they could have made tose features work much better

Desirability:
i really dont want it any more at all it totaly unispires me to play cause it sound like a muddy pile, but when i was on this site a few months back reading reviews i noticed there was only a few bad ones, so i just figure they were just anti marshall or idiots, but now i kind of know what they were saying, i just wish they were wrong

Sound:
the clean channel on this amp is really quite good (9) the acoustic channel probaly isn't great for mimicing an acoustic but it stilll sound pretty god dam nice espessially with some reverb(9) the od2 i found to be a big pile of crap though, this amp overall problem is that its way too bassy if you like to play heavy and tune down alot all you going to get is the huge amount of bass making your sound muddy, even if you turn the mids and bass all the way off its still too bassy compared to fenders in the same price range and then theres not enough gain to get a goot scratchy sound, truts me its hard to find a sweet spot for this amp, i've now realisd that i cant even get close to the sound i want with drive, if you looking for a heavy distortion, trust me dont even look at this amp, it wont cut it, i use it with a les paul and EMG 81/85 and to be honist i'd rather use my fender front man for distortion innstead thats how crap it is, but for rock n' roll i imagine this amop would be just fine, by the way the older valvstate 100 model is a shit load better, i would easily have my old valstate over this, (4) OD1 howerver is acctually got quite a rich crunch sound to it, i use it mostly for stuff like ac/dc tracks etc, and it doesn't sound bad at all, but then if i'm playing rock then i wont need to ask much fro this amps drive, (8)

Support:
not needed any yet

Overall:
overall i think this amp is great to a point, you try and get a metal tone, you'll find the amp will run out of puff before you get to your sweet spot (trust me), and then you will get lots of mud, so you'll have to turn back down the gain till you just manage a rock crunch, poor, but everything else is satisfactory or above so i give it a close six and not a bit more

Style of Music: a truley wide veriety, but i have a soft spot for heavy rock, somtimes metal

About This Product!
Description
Docs, Multimedia
This stereo, 75-watt per side, 2x12 in. combo is the bigger brother of the AVT150 combo. It boasts the same 4 channels and 2 DFX Sections of the AVT150, but the stereo 2x12 in. format allows the onboard DFX to add an incredibly rich, stereo dimension to your sound.

Additionally, the left and right speaker outputs could be used to drive extension cabinets. Also Headphones (where turning the Master Volume right down will provide silent practice), Left and Right Speaker Emulated outputs (where turning the Master Volume off provides silent recording), and stereo returns for the Effects Loop complete the line up for this incredibly flexible AVT combo. The AVT275 features Stereo Digital FX.

What is AVT
In Marshall's quest to give players the ultimate tone at a realistic price, they have combined the latest innovations in valve, solid state, and digital technologies to achieve optimum sonic performance. AVT has evolved from their original, critically acclaimed Marshall Valvestate technology, but is vastly improved so it emulates the tone, feel, and response of their world-renowned, all-valve amplifiers with unerring accuracyá without using valves in the power stage.

Marshall's long history and experience in the field of valve amplification was utilized in the development of the new AVT power amp. This extremely responsive and warm sounding circuitry was then coupled with the specially voiced, ECC83 (a.k.a 12AX7) valve-driven pre-amp section, to provide 100% valve/analog warmth from input to output. Combined with numerous user-friendly features, they believe we've created the best value-for-money range of Marshall amplifiers ever!

Valve Drive Pre-Amp
From the compact AVT20, right up to the thunderous roar of the feature packed, 4-channel AVT150H, each model in their brand new AVT line boasts a pre-amp stage that is driven by an ECC83 Dual Triode valve. Unlike certain other hybrid amps out there, this valve isn't merely acting as a pilot light. Instead, it is playing the central role in the gain, distortion and tone generating circuitry. They have gone to great lengths to ensure that this precious device delivers maximum sonic benefit at all settings and volume levels. The resulting clean sounds ring with the bell-like harmonics that only a valve pre-amp can deliver and the break-up is never harsh or unnatural sounding. Whenever you select an AVT Overdrive channel, the ECC83 is saturated to its limit, providing dynamics and feel worthy of a place in the Marshall hall of fame.

Power Amp Delivery
The same, unrivalled design expertise that went into the pre-amp was also channeled into the design of the AVT power stage. Using frequency dependent power amp damping and their proprietary, dynamic clip level technology (which emulates the HT supply of a valve power amp), each AVT power stage creates the warm, musical feel and 3-dimensional sounds that made Marshall's all-valve power amps world-renowned. Also, all AVT products will deliver the goods in the often hostile and unpredictable environment of the live performance stage - which is why the AVT power amps of 50 watts and up are fan cooled for optimum reliability.

DFX Onboard
The AVT100, AVT150, AVT150H, and AVT275 all have onboard DFX (Digital Effects). Here the greatest care was taken to ensure that the highest level of signal integrity was maintained at all times. They achieved this by successfully integrating DFX into the tonal topology of AVT without adding any of the nasty-sounding, artificial "grain" often associated with DFX. To make the 16 custom-voiced DFX as controllable and user-friendly as possible the relevant models are all supplied with an LED equipped foot controller which allows you to switch the amp's DFX on and off, as well as change channels.

The flexibility of the AVT150, AVT150H, and AVT275 is further enhanced by having 2 DFX sections, 1 for the Clean and Acoustic Simulator channels, and the other for the 2 Overdrive channels.

Extended Response Loudspeakers
Knowing the importance of the relationship between power amplifiers and loudspeakers, Marshall have worked extremely closely with Celestion to develop a range of speakers that will re-define the cutting edge in rock guitar reproduction. These speakers allow the compact, closed back cabinets used in the Valvestate 2000 AVT range to maintain the bottom end delivery normally associated only with a full 4x12 extension cabinet set-up.
