"For the money You will not find the power and features this has this amp is pro qaulity make sure you are ready for it"

Feature:
tone bandwith and ferq nobs are what bass players need it also has sub out direct out pre and post and amp out for slaveing it has it all

Quality:
solid built tuff will have no problems like a tank

Value:
best bang for the buck

Desirability:
not the best looking on stage in the dark changing settings may be a little hard black face plate and grey knobs makes it tuff to see but if you dial it in right you wont need to

Sound:
This amp is surprisingly warm sounding very tight threw four 10's also can create almost any tone

Support:
no need for it yet

Overall:

"TURN IT UP>>>>>>>>PLEASE!!!"

Feature:
Built like a tank. Detachable power cord and very well written users manual. Has clipping light as well as protect light and a varaible fan for cooling.

Quality:
Built like a tank!! Looked inside. Huge transformer, multipal printed circuit boards and power transistors are bolted to a "Chimney" cooler that the fan blows thru.

Value:
Worth every penny. A steal for the going price.

Desirability:
It's an attractive head, but it could of have been designed with a metal faceplate instead of plastic. You can't touch it's tonal control, so I guess that's where the faceplate money went.

Sound:
I have played Ampeg, Peavey and Galien Krueger. This head just does everything better. It's SO MUCH LIGHTER than my old SVT. And yes Toto, it has the same tone ability as a tube amp. I use two Hartke 15 cabinets with it and it shakes the house. Unlimited tonal capability and a "Low Bass" control that is remarkable. The toneal ability of this amp is one of its high points. 400 watts rms ain't so bad either.

Support:
Dealt with customer service on a cabinet issue. Great response. Talked to a guy named "Fritz". Great experience.

Overall:
Sastified. Not looking to buy any more equiptment.

About This Product!
Description
Docs
The Hartke HA4000 offers all the newest concepts in state-of-the-art bass amplification.

Features
Power to spare - a whopping 400 watts into 4 ohms.

Two independent inputs accommodate both passive and active bass guitars. It is almost impossible to overload the input of your HA4000!

Dual speaker outputs so you can connect two 8 ohm speaker cabinets without the need for daisy-chaining.

Protection relay circuitry protects connected speakers from dangerous overloading, and prevents "thumps" when powering on or off.

Fan-cooled to avoid thermal and overheating problems.

Dual effect loop send and return jacks (one pair post-EQ and the other pre-EQ) allow you to connect to professional outboard effects processors.

Electronically balanced XLR Direct and Preamp outputs provide a convenient means of routing signal to professional mixing consoles in both live performance and recording environments. In addition, an unbalanced 1/4 in. line output allows you to connect slave amplifiers.

Ground lift switch helps prevent hum or buzz from entering the Direct Out and Preamp Out signals.

Four bands of high-quality equalization allow you to create a broad range of tonal colors for your bass instrument. The 2 mid-bands are fully parametric, with sweepable center frequency and adjustable bandwidth control.

Provides a fifth, "DBASS" (Deep Bass) band - a harmonic enhancer adds extremely low frequencies to your bass signal.

A unique contour filtering system called "Shape" activates a multi-band equalization curve and notch filter specially designed to enhance the sound of the electric bass. Front-panel Shape and Intensity controls allow you to continuously sweep the filter through various frequency areas in order to customize the effect of the curve to the specific tonal characteristics of your particular bass instrument.

A unique dedicated "SBASS" (Sub Bass) output provides subharmonic line-level signal for connection to an external amplifier driving a subwoofer.

A front-panel Audio Mute control and rear-panel Mute footswitch input allow you to temporarily silence all outputsĂ–except the dedicated Tuner output - while tuning your bass.

Side handle for convenient, easy transporting.

Rugged construction makes the HA4000 eminently roadworthy.
