"UB2442FXPRO Puts Mackie 1604VLZ to Shame"

Feature:
Everything you need for live production/sound recording is here in this mixer. 99 Digital effects can be assigned to individual channels at individual volume levels or these effects can be muted entirely with a footswitch. 8 direct outs on channels 1-8 for connectiong to another monitor or recording rig. 4 subgroups with 2 outs each 2 headphone outs 2 main outs 2 control room outs 4 aux outs This thing is AWESOME

Quality:
This Product is high quality and is very durable. The only scratch on this board was from when i installed it in a custom made rack and scraped the rack ear with a screw driver

Value:
this product is worth more than twice what i paid for it. I have compared it with the Mackie 1604VLZ in live sound and the UB2442fxpro put the mackie to shame for 1/3 the cost

Desirability:
this board RULZ

Sound:
I have used this UB2442FX pro as a monitor board for a show recently The main board was a mackie 1604 VLZ The VLZ has no XLR outs, akward placement of XLR jacks and direct outs, has no onboard effects and Sound Quality of the 1604VLZ and UB2442 are practically the same! I have found that the ub2442 is much more accomadating for my needs in my own personal studio and would recommend it to anyone! Get rid of your expensive mackie's and buy this board! You'll be alot happier and you will have plenty of left over money to spend on other things and is around 3 times the price

Support:
i have had no problems with this board and i dont think i ever will

Overall:
I will Never switch to mackie

Style of Music: rock, rap rock, emo, punk, hardcore, ska...the list goes on

"You ain't gonna believe what this board will do for you!"

Feature:
I am not an authority on sound engineering, but if you need something that this board doesn't already have on board, you just don't know what you're doing and trying to mask problems.

Quality:
I appears to be built well, but not too heavy. The finish and all marking are done nicely, I expect to wear them off years down the road.

Value:
I thought this was a great return on investment. We play bluegrass/gospel music in various places. This doesn't pay in money, you get it back in blessings. I researched this expendature for about 2 months before I threw down the money, and have not regretted ot one second.

Desirability:
A few more glowing l.e.d.s would make it "appear" more active, but after using it a while, you know it is alive.

Sound:
I am totally thrilled with the ease of use (once you get accustomed the the vast array of adjustment possibilities). I run it through a 300 watt stereo amp and have great success in a small venue and there is still more available if needed. I recommend this to garage bands and small churches whole heartedly.

Support:
I've had no problems and therefor no support

Overall:
I plan on using this for years to come. I will suppliment it with new speakers and maybe a better amp soon as I get "blessed" with enough money for the upgrades.

Style of Music: Country/Gospel

This is the big cajuna of the whole UB Series. You get all the features you'd expect in an ultra high-quality compact mixer: 16 balanced high-headroom line inputs with dedicated gain controls on stereo channels 13-16, 10 new state-of-the-art, studio-grade IMP "Invisible" Mic Preamps, and an effective, extremely musical 3-band EQ with semi-parametric mid band plus switchable low-cut filter on all mono channels. There is also an integrated 24-bit digital stereo FX processor with 99 great-sounding Virtualizer presets.

Because of their extensive and carefully thought-out routing possibilities, these consoles lend themselves equally to both live and studio use. The prime suspects are high-quality recording studios as well as MIDI-studio applications, small-size PA applications (solo entertainers, duos to quartets, small bands), video edits, and similar setups.

Every crucial development stage of the new UB Series has Uli Behringer's name on it - literally: from the design study to the circuitry layout to the mechanical makeup of the consoles. He has personally selected each and every individual component, all with the goal of squeezing the very most out of every single one of them. These consoles have been pushed as far as the technology permits to-date.

Features
Ultra low-noise ULN design, highest possible headroom, ultra-transparent audio

10 new state-of-the-art, studio-grade IMP "Invisible" Mic Preamps with:

Manufactured under ISO9000 certified management system

Invisible Mic Preamp (IMP)
Five years in the making, the Invisible Mic Preamp (IMP) is a superior mic preamp that delivers crystal-clear audio with incredible reproduction of the slightest nuances. It matches or exceeds the performance of outboard mic preamps. You get extreme bandwidth of 5 Hz to 100 kHz coupled to unusually neutral, noise- and distortion-free circuitry. The Behringer IMP provides ultra-linear frequency response up to 100 kHz. The result of perfect design. Almost unmeasurable distortion for your signal integrity.

24-bit/ 46 kHz
Digital recordings are often done at a depth of 16 bits, which breaks up the dynamic range between the loudest and quietest portions of a signal into 65,536 steps. They use the finer resolution of 24 bits, which divides the signals loudest-to-softest dynamic range into 16,777,216 steps, allowing for far more accurate rendering of the quieter parts of the audio.

Audio signals change constantly, so a digital device must capture these changes as faithfully as possible. The higher the sampling rate, the better. The consoles use a sampling rate of 46,000 times per second. To capture any given frequency, a digital signal's sampling rate must be roughly twice that frequency. The sampling rate of 46 kHz is more than adequate for capturing all signals in the audible range - the human ear cannot hear the sounds whose frequency is higher than 20 kHz.

Ultra Low-Noise (ULN)
ULN stands for the Ultra low-noise design of our circuitry. It is based on extremely low-impedance components that keep thermal inherent noise and crosstalk at an absolute minimum. The result: your console is considerably less noisy and crosstalk between neighboring channels is virtually non-existent. The result of perfect design. Almost unmeasurable distortion for your signal integrity.

Switch-Mode Power Supply (SMPS)
Every console in the PRO Series uses a state-of-the-art, over-sized, switch-mode power supply with lots of headroom. One of the great advantages is that (compared to conventional circuits) a switch-mode power supply adapts to mains voltages between 100 and 240 volts automatically. Furthermore, due to its much greater efficiency, it consumes much less energy than a conventional supply unit. Even more important is the fact that conventional transformers always induce 50 Hz hum (check it out on other mixers when you turn up all volume controls). Their switch-mode supply operates at very high frequency and therefore keeps the mixer "dead" quiet.

XPQ 3D Surround
The XPQ 3D surround effect available in the UB1832FX-PRO widens the stereo image and adds life and transparency to your sound - an easy way to put a unique final polish on your music and turn your performance into an incomparable experience.
