"G1 ADVANTAGES, EXPERIENCE.."

Overall: 5 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
i surely not replace this little buddy, maybe adding some pedals but never to subtract one. I'll just pay some more care for this, to make it lasts a long time. And if i LOSE or SOMEBODY steal this ZOOM G1 i will definitely report it to the police and buy another one while waiting for the result. =)
Sound
I'm a Filipino (from the "ROCK CAPITAL" of the Philippines, OLONGAPO CITY)... i think for it's price it means ALOT i can tell. I've been playing for around ten years (less 7yrs from acoustics & 3yrs+ riffing, shredding and still exploring things..) i own before a boss (mt2,delay) pedals, and an Boston eq, & just SOLD them.. but of course WE all know that not everybody can afford this kind of stuff, it costs a lot and that's painful mostly in the butt. Since i bought this ZOOM G1(without the pedal) at first i thought it sucks, but when i spend a couple of hours tweaking, WOOOW!!! i was surprised, i found the right sound that suites my taste.(it caught the sounds i want, the heavy sounds for riffs, crunchy dist, delays, echos and for acoustics soundings etc.. just be patient & it pays at the end trust me!) i will not rate this as 10 because it's not as what you're expected as massive pure tone as boss, ibanez, crunch box and all that expensive ones but again IT'S SOMETHING. Very well FEATURES for a CHEAP PRICE and a GOOD FOUNDATION for beginners. It's cool to add up to the pedal board. G - SERIES OWNS! ROCK n' ROLL ASTIG!!! -DECK7485
Features
Almost perfect! what can you expect with this little buddy aside from it's cost for a cheap price it is SOMETHING. And of course you need PATIENCE, is the KEY. Spend TIME tweaking (use your EARS more) to get your DESIRED TONE and I'm sure it's not far to get some some. Plus the fact that it has DRUM MACHINE, I LOVE IT! Even though its limited in beats, sequence, i can still jam with it, having a good riffs & solo practice. The new G-SERIES has upgraded ZNR... and it helps A LOT to produce more SOUND but LESS BUZZ, or should i say NO BUZZ AT ALL... Even if you directly plug it in stereo, right! S T E R E O, still you can get a COOL & DECENT sounds you WANT, good to go! man i miss DIME!!! =( -DECK7485
Ease of Use
Again.. AT FIRST, you will think it sucks... But spending a bit of TIME TWEAKING is THE BEST. & Have MORE PATIENCE! I believe this thing will GIVE you SOMETHING that you're looking for. -DECK7485
Quality
i can say that it has a good hardware quality, in my case I use this little buddy(G1) for more or less a year until this very moment and still sounds perfect i mean out in the box. Although I accidentally drop this G1 on floor a couple of times I think 3mos. ago, still in perfect shape & tone. BUT of course still you have to give A LOT of care for this little buddy even if it's in hard casing, so that it'll lasts longer. -DECK7485
Value
yeah, I bought this little buddy more or less a year ago and it's ON SALE on JB MUSIC STORE SM PAMPANGA here in PHILIPPINES.. (MAS MURA KO ITONG NABILI, SALE NGA E! hehe..) so I bought this to have a good try, surprisingly the value of it worth my money, CHEAP but WORTHY. -DECK7485

The Wow Factor
i don't want it, I NEED IT!!! yeah, that's right. It's usable, effortless to carry wherever, whenever.. (if this is the only pedal you own..) =) this thing helps me A LOT, it has A LOT of sounds. you can create almost anything, you can quite copy some sounds like metallica, some of pantera, slayer, wolfgang (pinoy bad) slipknot, megadeth, steve vai, zakk wylde etc. some sort of that.

"GET IT!! get it know, get it while you can, such a beautiful product should not be left in a box"

Overall: 5 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
i dont think i will ever need another peddly, unless ofcourse someone steals it which in that case i'll get another one exactly the same because its so freaken good
Sound
such a large variety of different sounds and effects, from clean to so heavily distorted it fuzzes your ears, the sound is crisp and clean just the way i like it
Features
Sadly mine did not come with an ac adapter(i didnt buy from here)but otherwise the makers got it all figured out, comes with plenty of effects, a drum machine and a tuner, basicly every tool in one for a very cheap price
Ease of Use
once you fiddle around with everything and have abit of fun its really easy to work your way around, make sure you read the manual incase you screw the thing up. The manual is written in plain english (and a complimentary chinese one too =D) so it shouldnt be hard to understand
Quality
this company couldn't have produced such a good product at such a cheap price unless they used cheap plastic...which they didnt, the plastic they use is very durable and it has a very sleek design so i really have no idea how these guys are making a profit from selling it so cheap.
Value
ive been going on about how cheap it is and let me tell you again ITS CHEAP!!!! its so good
Manufacturer Support
havn't had to ask for support which in my opinion is a very good sign
The Wow Factor
the shiny grey colour with black peddle is very sleek and sexy and i feel honoured to have this effect box sitting in my room

"u got to get this pedal... it's the most worthy thing i've ever bought even better than food"

Overall: 5 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
a great multieffects guys i'll think alot before byin anotha one 54 effects with 9 ranges in all....... auto wah is good and u can add pedal for crybaby and vox wah foot switches are easy to use and u can get any effect u want....very convenient to use in a jamming session or live distortion is great guys (i keep sayin that) u can simply alternate distortion to nice cool clean accoustic sound NOW i can play (fade to black and ONE without and master of puppets for metallica...also cemetary gates and this love pantera) my style is extreme metal and death metal and the G1 suits me hope u will hear of our band soon guys
Sound
The sound is just great, just get a good cable (don't be cheap) I have a yamaha F20 amp. and avion guitar...I believe i can get all metallica, pantera sounds.... One more thing... If u want ur ears to get perforated use headphones right out of the pedal...no need for the amp now... there are lots of modules for every effect distortion and overdrive will rock ur house or the jamming room at ur friend reverb and echo and delay will let u copy out ur heroes guitar
Features
Sadly mine didn't include ac adapter.... but the zoom adapter then works great...don't try to buy any other adapter
Ease of Use
manual is sooo great u can carry it in ur wallet it explains everything i took me one day to rock my house with all the hard extreme distortion and then cool off on the nice chorus ensembler very easy to use distortion is great guys
Quality
Very compact unit...containg every thing u could dream for no scratches till now
Value
Really cheap man imean come on......for all these effects one more thing NEVER HISITATE to buy it even if u had other options

"Good product for peanuts."

Overall: 4 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
Verified Customer zZounds has verified that this reviewer made a purchase from us.
Perfect for what I bought it for. Wouldn't need to replace it unless it conked out on me.
Sound
I have this in front of my low-volume practice amp for goofing off. In general - good sound. Very clean and noise-free at practice volumes. The amp and cabinet models aren't all that great (compared to my pod x3, which really isn't that fair). Good to put in front of a practice amp, not so good with phones or direct. Fuzz and heavy distortions are pretty decent. Crunchy amps are no good at all. However, one exception - the emulation of the Boss overdrive is pretty impressive (I have one and they are virtually identical). Effects are absolutely comprehensive and very usable. Limited parameters to configure (chorus and reverb are limited because of this), but what is here is good as-is. There are a few effects (pitch and octave) that my pod x3 doesn't even have. As an amp simulator for someone that's serious about tone - not so good. To be used as an pedal in front of an amp and an easy way to get a boatload of versatility with effects and tones for pocket change - excellent.
Features
It's dirt cheap and has every effect you could ever want. You couldn't really get any more for less. When I bought this thing, I figured that if I could get 2 good sounds out of this thing, it's already a better bargain than a boss/digitech/whatever pedal. And I can, so it's well worth it.
Ease of Use
Totally, totally easy to use. No need to read through the manual. The reference card tells you all you need to know to get started. The rest is very intuitive.
Quality
I'm just guessing here. It's plastic. I wouldn't stomp on it like you would a boss. If you baby it, it should be alright.
Value
So much stuff for dirt cheap.
Manufacturer Support
No idea. Manual is decent. I'll give them the benefit of the doubt, I guess.
The Wow Factor
I don't think anybody is going to lust after this thing like a '59 les paul or some expensive rack processor, but it's definitely desirable for casual players/hobbyists because it's so cheap. If you know what you're doing, you can get some great sounds out of this thing.

"Just buy it!"

Overall: 5 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
Sound
For the price this is an amazing pedal. I had been looking around for a distortion pedal that I liked and I played alot of them. I was planing on spending quite a bit of money to get a really great distortion pedal but said what the hell and bought this one and I was truly surprised! Its clean sounds are incredible, the amount of bang for the buck is great.
Features
I love being able to run headphones off the output jack and being able to control the output volume.
Ease of Use
An hour or so and a monkey could use it very easy operation.
Quality
well built but i wouldnt push it it is plastic.
Value
Worth the money and probably more.
Manufacturer Support
havent had to deal with any one yet

"An irresistable effect pedal."

Overall: 5 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
The overall quality and sound perfection is great and I love all its sounds very much. This pedal has really helped me to achieve my goals.
Sound
Before buying it I never thought that it could be so great sounding pedal. This is just a incredible effect pedal I ever used. It has tons of sounds variety which are crystal clear and noise free. I wonder how I was missing such a cool thing for so long. I found it working very well at almost every setting and as well as on different amps, no problem atall.
Features
It has come with an A/C adapter and a very well explained operation manual. The most useful feature is the Harmonised Pitch Shifter. I wish it would have a dual output jacks for true stereo chorus sound rather splitting the single output into two which is basically remains Mono. It is very well made and I am completely satisfied with it.
Ease of Use
It is very easy to shape any kind of sound you want. I found it operation also very simple it just needs a couple of days.
Quality
The finishing quality of this pedal is great and I have not found any flaw in it so far.
Value
Simply out class and very reasonable priced effect pedal. Its hard to find such a nice pedal in this price range.
Manufacturer Support
No idea as this is my very first pedal from Zoom and it has not yet give me any chance which force me to contact the Zoom Company.
The Wow Factor
This a real amazing addition to my guitar equipments collection. I think I would feel incomplete without it now.

Zoom G1 Guitar Effects Customer Review

Overall: 5 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
This is an AMAZING pedal. I could not describe all the things that you can accomplish with it. This is the only pedal I'll need for a looong time. It's a mixture or different overdrive, distortion, and chorus pedals rolled into one with SO much more. I would seriously just go out and buy this if I were you.
Sound
The sound is great and clear..couldn't be happier with it's performance.
Features
This pedal is amazing, for one, you're getting an AC adapter with it so you don't have to go through countless double A batteries. Plus, the effects are extraordinary. It can go from a crying wah, to massive heavy metal distortion, to an acoustic simulator, even that watery sound Kurt Cobain used in Come As You Are and Smells Like Teen Spirit. :)
Ease of Use
You have to read the manual and experiment with it, but once you've played around with it for some hours you'll know your wawy around this pedal.
Quality
This is a sturdy pedal, of course..I don't go crazy and kick it either hah.
Value
This right here is a TOP-CLASS effects pedal. The bang is for the buck. I mean..sixty bucks for this thing is a steal.
Manufacturer Support
Haven't had to use the support team.
The Wow Factor
The pedal has a very sleek look, plus I like the grey. So this pedal is definitely one sexy pedal. :D
