To the gentleman having problems with the sustain pedal. Do you know what firmware you have in your 670. I have latest firmware and I don't have problems with it. Of course I did the firmware and factory reset, but made sure I backed up all data to USB first. Well, mine works perfect in every way. Sustain pedal works on pianos, strings, guitars and so on. You also need to check the polarity settings in your 670 and on your sustain pedal underneath. My sustain pedal came with polarity swith which I can change. So far, for me, it has been an amazing keyboard. I have tested .STY styles from the 770, 970, A3000, PSR 9000, Tyros, Tyros 2 and all styles have worked just fine. I even have tested voices from other keyboards and work well.

Musical Background:

The sounds are good. It's easy to use. But the sustain pedal only works on the pianos and nothing else. I figured mine wasn't right and contacted Yamaha, but they never responded. So as far as I know, that's how this keyboard is. And if so, then I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. You can't use the sustain pedal on strings or pads. Just pianos. At least, that's how mine is.

Musical Style:

R&B, jazz.
