This review has been selected by our experts as particularly helpful.
Brought this unit into our arsenal for use with mainly guest musicians. We are an amp-less stage and have no monitors. We are completely in ear band wide. We still like to have guests on stage sometimes and this will allow us to do that for a couple songs. All we need for the guest is buds or cans. Guitarist tested it last night for entire set and loved it. Had plenty of juice to power Westone UM30 pros.
Sound
Sound quality on this unit is excellent. The frequency response is good enough to be used by a bass player. Many less expensive units can't do frequencies below 80 Hz well but this does. My only complaint on the sound is that it sounds a bit compressed. On stage I doubt you would notice. It is a MONO only system though. There is no upgrading to stereo.
Features
Most useful feature is portability. Take this in your gig bag and hand it to the sound guy and you have an in ear system like that. Least useful is only 6 channels of 2.4 spectrum to use. If you use U2s or U3s you are sharing channel 1-4 and only have 5 and 6 to choose from.
Ease of Use
Plug them in match the channel. Done.
Quality
Metal Chassis on both units is impressive. Bulky without being lead like.
Value
It's a bargain product. If you were going to set up your band and don't mind mono this would be a great option if you can't afford Galaxy 1400s, Shure 300, or Senn G4.
Manufacturer Support
I've not had the best of luck contacting them. This is my biggest reservation about XVive. I've emailed nancy@ and their marketing@ and never received answers from either.
The Wow Factor
It's cool and sounds great. It's so small!

Bought this baby with a little bit of concern. I had read a few negative reviews but I decided to take a chance and boy I’m glad I did. Great clean sound, feels robust, both pieces. One person complained that this unit interferes with all their other wireless including the xair 18 mixer which I run. I have had no issues. Specs say 90 feet of reception but I walked 300 ft at an outdoor gig and it was still working until I entered a building. I purchased the westone um20 pro ear buds for this unit and they rock. They have plenty of lows and they are crystal clear. No complaints here! Highly recommend if there are 3 or less people using these on the same stage.

I just purchased these Xvive U4 wireless in-ear and they work perfectly. I used them for the very first time at my church and they worked great. Very happy with the product. This device didn't drop out considering we have all wireless microphones and I haven't had any problems of these in ears going out. Battery lasted me for over 5 hours with a full charge. I plan on order another one. It came with a Sure in ear isolated headphones but I used a different in ear headphones and I was blown away.

I have used this In-ear monitor system for 3 gigs so far and it has worked very well. It has a clear sound and no dropouts. Give this unit a try.

I am new to IEM's but have been playing in a tribute band for the last 15 years 40- 50 shows per year. Tried the cheap Shure IEM's way back and one in the band liked them. Getting a bit older in my age we are trying to lighten the load and have decided to go all IEM for drummer, rhythm, bass and direct backline eliminating amps/heads. It has been a whole new revelation for us and the sound guys love it because now they control the entire sound and don't have to compete with players that want to crank the heck out of their amps. I have learned you really need to have good quality gear and this little guy steps up to the plate. I bought the MEE Audio MX2 Pro and had custom tips made. I was initially using a Behringer P2 wired with Shure SE-215CL buds with triple flanged sleeves (suggested for best isolation). I used Sennheiser G4 unit last night (PA guy had them) and A/B'd with the Xvive and really could tell no difference. Only issue with Xvive is 2.4GHz and can interfere. I keep it next to my wireless bass pedal (Shure GLDX) and I have no static, I did try it on other side of stage once and had a little interference of and on. Battery life is excellent, units are small and well made all metal solid knobs. Give it try! I didn't rate support because I have not needed any.

"Unreliable, Overpriced, Disposable"

Overall: 0.5 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
Purchased this system in late 2020 to have a way to practice quietly without cables everywhere. Noticed from the start that the sound fidelity is average and crackly (using Shure SE425 and Phil Jones Bass headphones) and that it is super sensitive to interference. Thought it was ok if overpriced for home use.Two weeks ago it started dropping out several times a minute - it's now unusable. And being just out of warranty no support from Xvive and apparently no repair options. I will not be purchasing their gear again. For not heaps more you can get a professional rack-mount wireless system - I'll be doing that in the future.
Sound
Sound fidelity is average and subject to substantial interference. The unit is sensitive to electrical equipment, computers, WiFi and cell phones.
Features
The size is great but this is irrelevant given its unreliability.
