"Very good, inexpensive guitar"

Overall: 4.5 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
I'll keep this guitar for years (and not just because my wife says no more guitars). It's inexpensive enough to replace easily (although Washburn doesn't list it on their website anymore), but still provides excellent sound, easy playability and good looks.
Sound
I think it sounds great. I haven't played a lot of expensive guitars, but to my relatively untrained ear, it's a beautiful sound.
Features
It came with a gig back that was a piece of junk, but that's it.
Ease of Use
The action seemed good right out of the box. No problems at all.
Quality
The fit and finish seem superb to me. Tuning machines are smooth, the finish is unbelievable (I have the red one), and it seems solid.
Value
I'm certain that a $1000 Martin/Fender/Gibson would sound a little better, but for the money, this guitar is amazing. I've had it for a year already, and I'm sure I'll be playing it for many more.
Manufacturer Support
Not necessary yet.
The Wow Factor
I was playing in the bleachers before my son's Little League game and one of the moms stopped to listen and said, "What a beautiful guitar." That says it all, I think.

"The Best Guitar for the Money"

Overall: 5 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
I have been playing for over 40 years, and this is probably the best guitar I have owned. I had a Gibson back in the 60's, and this guitar compares favorably with it. I'm 57 years old and this will last me until I am unable to play anymore.
Sound
Full and pretty
Features
Grover tuners stay in tune. Great feel. The only problem is only one strap button.
Quality
You couldn't ask for better quality, then what you get from a Washburn Guitar. I would use this guiter anywhere, and have.
Value
You cannot buy a better guitar for the money, or maybe for not 3x the money.
Manufacturer Support
Limited lifetime warranty. What more can you ask for. Haven't needed them for this guitar, but for my O.S. OE-30, they were very helpfull.
The Wow Factor
This is both a beautiful looking and sounding guitar. I am so happy that I own it.

"Great sounding and looking guitar"

Overall: 5 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
I will be using this guitar to record with mostly. I was looking for a inexpensive acoustic guitar to replace one I've been using for yesrs and this really fit the bill. Thank's Washburn and Zzounds for bringing it to me. :)
Sound
This guitar has a classic Washburn sound. Nice and full.
Features
It's a acoustic guitar. No accessories - no case. Just a guitar in a cardboard box (well packed)
Ease of Use
Plays well and has nice low action.
Quality
It's a Washburn arn't all their products made with high quality?
Value
Best sounding acoustic guitar I ever bought.
Manufacturer Support
Never called Washburn however Zzounds is simply the BEST!
The Wow Factor
I love the natural wood finish and it not only looks awesome it sounds awesome as well.

"Awesome value and tone."

Overall: 4.5 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
If stolen, I would buy another on the spot instantly. The price is not that much higher than in 1996 and it is an outstanding guitar. I am planning to buy another one soon, the blue color is kind of calling to me. I may hot-rod it with a good pickup system.
Sound
The tone from the ash body woods makes this a very smooth sounding guitar. It is also very different from any spruce-topped guitar you will play. I personally like the sound better than spruce-topped guitars.
Features
I have a transparent red one that I purchased in 1996. It has held up pretty good. The pickguard shows up scratches very easily but otherwise, it has aged really well. I wish that these were available with the pre-amp system that my D-10SCE came with, that would rock.
Quality
This thing has endured airline travel (the SKB case is extra) overseas and was loaned to a friend for a period of time when his band went on tour. It has held up really well. I would have no problems depending on it. It even has the original tuners on it.
Value
Washburn really is a good company. I have an older PRS CE24 and in all honesty, my Washburn acoustics have provided me just as much enjoyment as the more expensive PRS electric. I purchased my D11 for $99.00 in 1996 and I have never regretted it.
Manufacturer Support
Never dealt with the Washburn company. I own a few Washburn products and I have never had any type of malfunction.
The Wow Factor
The transparent finishes are really well done. The figuring of the ash makes this guitar a real "wow" when you see it up close for the first time. As long as you keep the fingerprints wiped off, it will have the same effect on most other people you show it to.

"AWESOME, nice looking and GREAT SOUND!!"

Overall: 5 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
A good 3 or 4 yrs before i want to get a new one...unless there is one out there that i would HAVE TO HAVE.
Sound
The sound on here is achy at first, but thats because of the strings that it comes with it. But any good guitar player knows to replace the strings that it comes with. Over all the sound is better than any other guitar I have, and i have a fender and a Stargazer.
Features
It didn't come with anything, just the guitar and a well packed box...nice and safe for the long trip to my house. It does come with a Life time Warrenty.
Value
YEA, This is cheap but it sounds and looks like its worth a whopping 350.00.
Manufacturer Support
I give a 5 because i've never had to call for help or anything.
The Wow Factor
It is SO pretty. I own the Transparent Blue washburn D11. WOW!! Such a nice blue.

"Bad Mama Jamma"

Overall: 4 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
Ill have this ax fo ra while.
Sound
This is a great guitar. I use it all the time. It had fallen off the stand in the garage one day,(dang dog) and it hit hard on the concrete. I picked her up, and to my suprise it was just a bit knicked. The finish is super durable. I had no need to get it set up, because out of the box it was perfect. Sweet Wood too, tons of compliments. When I play my martin people say "sounds nice", When I play the D11, people say "thats a pretty guitar". Nuff said Dubl-A
Features
When I got it there was nothing included.
Ease of Use
Great frets, oversized and easy to hit. Beautiful sound, Nice action. I didnt need to get mine set up. Even with the high gloss finish, the neck is fast. You'll love it.
Quality
Rodk solid. super hard finish, very useable, very dependable. No fret wear and I jam on this thing pretty hard. Every day.
Value
For the $. This is way better than o lot of the other MFG's better stuff.
Manufacturer Support
Never Needed any service on her
The Wow Factor
Ladies love....Soo so I!!!!

I play for fun and love it

"There's no other guitar I would buy for under $200"

Overall: 5 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
I bought this guitar 4 or 5 years ago. I own about 3 others. I basically learned how to play on this one, and I couldn't be happier. This is one of those starter guitars that you can play even when you get good without being embarrassed.
Sound
This is a great guitar. For less than $200, you can't get a better sound. It has a full, sweet sound.
Quality
Great. The tuning keys, for example, won't give like some cheaper models. And it stays in tune for weeks. Feels and sounds like a high end guitar.
Value
Nothing better for the price. I've tried, believe me.
The Wow Factor
Get this instead of the D10. The Mountain Ash is beautiful--you will get tons of compliments. Yet it's not flashy or overdone--subtle.
