The strap I received is slightly different than the one pictured. It is nice full leather. You can smell the strong leather scent. It states it is buttery soft. Mine is not. It is stiff and may break in with some wear. I have other leather straps that were much softer new. Still it is a very nice strap and the designs are nice. It is a nice compliment for my martin d28
