Well built durable easy to standsuse are some ways to describe this unit. The tallest of all speaker stands I have had /used. The interlocking unit makes life simple when raising/lowering speaker(s) the weight limit per stand is great. Very happy with the ability to use for speakers or lights. Now to find speaker bags for these because aren't your standard length stands.

Sound
The Ultimate Support TS-99B lighting / speaker stand is high quality. I've owned several brands of stands over the decades and the Ultimate Support stands are by far the best stands in the industry (thick wall aluminum construction for heavy loads and long life). The stands lift my speakers and or lighting gear up to 9 feet in the air making my speakers sound great and my lighting look great!
Features
The most useful feature of these stands are: the "locking assist collar" which enables one person to extend this stand with speaker high into the air (no assistant needed, no chance of the speaker falling back onto oneself) and the "inner diameter ring" which enables the user to switch from 1 3/8 inch for speaker mounting or 1 1/2 inch for lighting crossbar mounting.
