I bought an Apex stand when they first came out. I still have that stand and it's still functional but I need that one for the studio now as I have amassed quite a large collection of synths. I have to say this newer model AX-48 PRO is by far a much nicer stand than my old one.
Super durable stand and takes up VERY little space when it is back in it's self enclosure.
I only gave this 3 stars in the sound category because... well it just doesn't sound as good as the synths that I put on it. :-)
zZounds shipped this thing right out upon order. I can't believe how fast I had it in my hands.

Sound
I had a previous model that didn't have the handle and it was by far the best stand I've ever owned. It took extreme abuse. I would have taken a couple of points off the review, except they fixed my biggest complaint and that was it was awkward to carry. Now, with the handle, that issue solved. It is still fairly heavy, but that is the trade-off for a solidly built stand.
I put a Fatar Soundlogic on this baby and it didn't flinch. It never tipped over - solid.
Features
The beauty of this design is how everything is self contained. After years in clubs, I never lost any of the components (big feat for me). The design is great and it has a relatively small footprint; which is great for those small, cozy stages.
Ease of Use
Simple and straightforward. Set up & break down in under a minute.

Built like a brick wall.
