This snare sounds and looks amazing! I was reluctant to buy it at first because there wasn't many reviews online and local stores didn't have the snare, but I took the risk and bought the snare anyway. It was by far the best decision I have made! The studio maple snare has a very loud and vibrant sound that impresses everyone. The sound engineer at my church loves this snare because he doesn't have to change much to make it sound great. It sounds great naturally! Since its 8 lugs, it's easier to tune, and doesn't have much over tones. I just put one moon gel and it was ready to go! also, the wooden hoops make it look and sound awesome. The side stick and rim shots sound amazing on this snare! They give the snare a complete different feel than other snare drums, and they are holding up really good so far. This snare is also way lighter than other snare drums which is something that comes in handy if you plan to travel a lot. I not only recommend this snare, but I recommend this company as well! The level of excellence that zZounds has is very impressive. The payment options are amazing and are not seen in any other company, the instruments arrive crazy fast, and the customer service is the best I've experienced till this day. Great snare. Tuned it in three ranges, was amazed how the snare reacted to my sticking, also great cross stick. I am Very pleased. You won't be disappointed. Being a professional musician takes hard work & with the great gear that Zzounds has in stock,it makes my job that much easier.
