I just purchased this guitar and all I can say is wow! Very loud sound and wonderful tone. Plugged in or not this guitar sounds like a million bucks. The pickup in this guitar is amazing. I’ve played many acoustics and this one here is the real deal. Tone, feel, looks, it’s got it all. Very pleased with this purchase!!!!!!!

I wanted to write a review for this guitar because there isn't one on the zZounds site. Just a bit of background so you know what I'm comparing this guitar to. I've owned 2 high end seagull guitars. Artist models. I've owned a 400 series Taylor and a 810ce. This guitar is closest to the 800 series Taylor in sound and specs. Both spruce and rosewood all solid. That's a 3500-4000 dollar guitar new. I didn't buy mine new and I still payed 2600. To get a all solid wood guitar with a torrified top can cost a fortune. If your like me your trying to get the most guitar you can for as little money as possible. 1700 bucks isn't small change but it's not 4000 and to get this much guitar from Taylor or Martin your gonna pay 3000-4000 bucks. You don't have to. This guitar delivers. It sounds great. The torrified top adds volume and projection. This is the loudest guitar I've ever owned. It's dynamic and built beautifully. The frequency response across the strings is very balanced. It's not overly boomy like some martins can be. It's not lacking in the bass end either like some taylors can be. It's kinda perfect tonally. For me. It's all subjective of course but quality is quality. The neck is nice and chunky. Plenty of space between the strings. The nut width is a thing of debate. I haven't measured it but I've seen varying specs for nut width. It's wide but not overly. I personally like a wide nut and plenty of space between strings on a acoustic. Plugged in it may be the best sounding that I've had so far but I need more time to test that but so far it's just great. I play mostly unplugged but I've been blown away at how good it sounds through my little fishman acoustic amp. There are two bad points that are easy fixes. 1 the b and g string nut slots had to be widened slightly because they were pinging whilst tuning. 2 I have to lower the action a touch. Otherwise perfection and a very happy purchase.
