The Lake Placid Blue looks killer. This guitar was even set-up right out of the box. I'm very impressed. I was surprised how good the neck pickup sounded once I raised it. I had to lower the bridge pickup quite far to get a good balance. Now every position on the 3-way switch is balanced in volume. It sounds clear and jazzy on the neck pickup, funky in the middle and twangy on the bridge!! Zzounds got my order out fast too!

Yes this is my first Tele and not the last. I shopped around on this site and went with this one. Though the Lake Placid doesn't live up to what the guitar really looks like, that was my choice and I"m glad I went with my heart. It sounds amazing and the rosewood fretboard offers a warmer sound. Kudos zZounds!

I haven't had to deal with Fender yet so I can't say much about that.

i got this as my first electric. i chose squier cause im a beginner and didnt have the budget for a real fender or bill crook guitar like brad paisley. but i love this thing sounds awesome through my fender mustang amp. came about 90% set up out of the box had to tune it and set the innotation. but the reviews say that the pups buzz a little is true but it doesnt hinder the quality of the sound. prob a pup upgrade and itll be a perect guitar for anyone.
