The Source Audio Ventris Dual Reverb pedal is my first ever guitar pedal purchase. So I don't have anything to compare it to, but I am very impressed. I really wanted a Strymon, but zZounds don't carry that brand. So, I opted to try the Ventris and I'm glad that I did. I've been using it primarily with my Prophet Rev. 2 -16. I turn off the Prophet's effects and route the sound through the Ventris with amazing results. The soundscapes and lush ambiences almost bring me to tears. I could've gone cheap or more expensive but I'm glad that I chose the Ventris instead!

First many thanks to zZounds for greatest service . I ordered this pedal around 6 pm Chicago time on Thursday. I choose 1 day delivery on Saturday. Friday around 3p.m my reverb was delivered . Not even 24 hours. Whoooww. Thanks a lot zZounds. So it took me about 1 min. ,23 seconds to unpack and connect Ventris to my pedal board . Started with hall . Ohhh...this pedal sounds fantastic. Most impressive after the sound is how pots reacting for any adjustments. In some pedals pots start to change anything either at start or when you turn 'em to the max. Ventris pots response is in full range. Very impressive. Is hard to find pedal like this. Also each and one presets sounds fantastic. Double DSP allow you to mix reverbs like hall with shimmer or echoverb with offspring etc. All 12 presets can be mix each other. As I said sound of this pedal is great. Studio quality. This is really great pedal for live performance. Not complicated like Eventide and IMHO sounds better. Also Source Audio support is incredible. I sent question about warranty and registration. Answer was : " We not use warranty registration. If your pedal will ever break , we gonna repair it free ". That's what we talking about!

I love the ambient sounds that can be achieved with this pedal. However, this is also a players pedal and getting beautiful quality stock tones/effects for songs was easy. Most of you are players and gig or jam with friends etc...If you can afford the price I think you will love this pedal.

Sounds amazing, very compact and easy to play around with. High quality reverb. The price is a little up there but do yourself a favor and get one it’s totally worth it.

"Great reverb sounds; manual needs editing/updating; software needs debugging."

Phenomenal reverb sounds come from this unit, from subtle to over the top. Out of the box, using factory settings and knobs provided is very satisfying and worth the cash. HOWEVER, the manual and software do not consistently provide useful/desired results. For example, per manual the global pedal volume should be accessed by holding the Control Button and turning the Mix knob; the reality is inconsistent with an appearance of cycling through a few volume related effects with ONE of them being global volume. Expression pedal details (in manual) and assignment (in software) were at best confusing and at worst incorrect in explanations of how to assign them and what to expect. Finally, using software to assign different reverb parameters to control knobs 1 and 2 sometimes yielded inconsistent/unexpected results with control going to a different parameter than specified. So in short this unit delivers well on sound but not good yet on instruction and tweak-ability. I'm keeping my unit as the reverbs provided are really that good. Will find out how Manufacturer support is soon (giving 3 stars for now).

Let's see some video of this peddle in action on either YouTube or online music store sites. If potential customers could hear what it can do tens of thousands or more might buy it. I'm only giving it a half star because I have to put something in order to get my message through to the manufacturers marketing department.
