Well, it made it through its first flight (two legs each way) without a hitch. Plenty new scuffs on the outside, not a mark inside. Latches, wheels, and handles all still solidly in place, what more can I ask for? Tons of room inside this thing too so I was able to remove a lot of gear (cables, extra strings, strap, tuner, tablet too if I'd been feeling saucy) from my suitcase and slap it in here. Less to carry on or check that way.I love it so far.

My standard hard case was smashed at one end the last time I checked it as luggage. The bass is too big to carry on, so I needed a rugged solution. I play a Musicman StingRay 5, and it fits perfectly in the SKB Open case.
