I bought a Takamine GD30CE 12-String a while back, and it turned into a purchase I regretted. Up until today, that is. The electronics, and pickup system in the GD30CE was atrocious, and rather than just selling it, I figured I'd try to fix the problem. So I bypassed the entire factory system, and I installed a mic inside the body, and this pickup in the soundhole. Amazing transformation! Now I can record using this guitar, and play live with it. The pickup alone sounds wonderful, but adding the mic inside the body gave it more realism, as it picks up the subtleties of playing an acoustic guitar, and I can mix the two sounds as I like, either for enhanced live use, or stereo recording. It would bne nice if this pickup came with a pair of batteries, but luckily, I had a couple in my studio to get things going. Buy a pair of CR2032's before you get this pickup, and you can start playing within 15 minutes of when you receive it.
