I bought these for my fiance so he'll be doing the review of them. These pickups are flat out amazing! My fiancee bought these for me as an upgrade from the Jackson stock pickups that were in my JS32-8 Dinky. Their stock pickups actually aren't that bad, but these are just incredible! Perfect for the tight progressive metal sound I want out of my guitars. They also clean up beautifully! Under high gain, every note is clear and defined. I can play a chord utilising all 8 strings and hear every note. It's insane. Lots of mids like you would expect from pickups designed by and for a guitarist from a band like Periphery. Has a great balance of the lows and highs, as well. The neck pickup is unlike any neck pickup I've ever heard. It has the kind of pick attack response you would expect from a bridge pickup mixed in with that fat warm sound you want from a neck pickup. The mounting plates were little smaller than the pickup cavities in my guitar, but it was easy to work around. Just had to apply pressure while screwing them into place to make new holes for them. Simple and easy to understand wiring diagram. I plan on installing a push/pull tone pot at some point so I can make use of the single coil option. I know these may seem a bit pricey, but they were definitely worth every penny to me because they sound phenomenal and I'm so satisfied with them that I'll never need to replace them with a different set of pickups. If you're considering buying these pickups for your 8-string guitar, stop thinking about it and buy them! You won't be disappointed!

I decided to read and watch every review as possible and trust me (so many people just can't be wrong) Mark was not kidding when he designed this tones. This passive pickups are unique, versatile, sharp and powerful like none i've ever tried from the market before. They replaced my stock jackson pickups on the JS328 Dinky being 8mm smaller by both ends BUT i used the black foam from SD pickups case, cut it and covered their 4 ends and looks so great you wouldn't even notice, althou you can still leave it like that. In terms of sound difference before and after replacing them with the Jackson stock ones is the best decision i've taken technically speaking, the alpha & omega's quality of sound are light years in time and space. I don't think of any pro using stock Jackson PU, these were built-in decently good thou. The seymour duncan A/O price it's a joke when you plug in your guitar, should've done it before.
