typical sennheiser. Solid built, good quality system. I have used this for outdoor and indoor venues (mostly wedding ceremonies) and there has not been any drop out even with 250+ feet distance. I would recommend this unit if you have to depend on the perfomance and are ok with the cost. If you need a dependable system, its worth the investment.

"I love my Sennheiser XSW12 Lavalier Mic"
I purchased another lav mic system for $200 less. I used it the Sunday after I purchased it and took it back to the store immediately after the service. You do get what you pay for. In addition, Zzounds has a great payment plan system.
