I loved the stock pickup that was in my '92 Jackson but felt I needed a change after 20 years, so the obvious choice for my musical tastes was the Duncan JB. All the great, clear sounds you expect from a quality pickup are there. It is high output, but rolling back your volume gives you tons of tonal options. Very versatile...no wonder it's the best selling replacement in history.

The SD JB has evidently been the most popular replacement humbucker for years. There's got to be a reason. For me, i installed this p/up in a neck thru Ibanez 6 string RG with a mahogany body. I think it has a lot to do with the body wood, but i was hoping for it to brighten the sound up a bit more. That being said, articulation and clarity have improved. Output is noticably greater. I have tried other pickup brands but for me, SD is the way to go. I am satisfied with this pickup selection, and will likely continue to put JBs in my other guitars in the future.

Hoping it will last as long as my guitar its in which is many more years to come.
Sound
Sound is amazing. I installed it in my Jackson Rhoads and got just what i was hoping for a very balanced out smooth and hard hitting humbucker. I play a lot of heavy, death and power Metal and also cleans at times and this pickup works perfectly for me. The low end produces nice hard hitting tone while the high end when playing leads is beautiful i can hear each note im playing perfectly even when doing sweeps and arpeggios.
Features
It came with the necessary screws and springs needed for install. You can also just reuse your old screws and springs if wanted.
Ease of Use
Install is pretty straight forward. Seymour Duncans website has the wiring diagrams you would need for your guitar setup. Just need a good pencil soldering iron and some soldering skills.
Quality
Its Seymour Duncan so it very well made and looks good too.
Value
Worth every penny.
Manufacturer Support
No need
