This is my first Schecter, I only buy vintage or vintage style basses but wanted an 8 string and didn’t want to plunk down big money on a worn out vintage bass.. I wasn’t crazy about the looks or the active electronics but when I unboxed it and plugged it in I was hooked on this thing.. it played great, had a great sound and setup and I was able to reduce the gain on my amp and switch off my booster pedal and get the same drive/fuzz tone but with more clarity and responsiveness due to the active circuit. The bass has great weight and balance and the neck is very playable from end to end and the sound is huge. All in all I’m very happy I decided to buy this bass, it has exceeded my expectations.
