Have played this bass for 2 months now. I really like the dynamics that can be extracted from this instrument. It responds with HD punch. I play in ADGCF, and had to do the usual setup: a bit more relief, action raised 1/2 turn, string length increased. Still using the stock string set, it doesn't slap the frets too bad, especially playing back by the bridge. Nice 35" scale keeps the tension up. Schecter does it again. Almost as much fun as the original Steinberger 5 I used back a few decades.

This bass is amazing. I am a church bassist so I love gospel music and this works perfectly! It’s got such a bright sound the slapping and plucking sound is perfect. I have a bassmods with an amazing preamp and this honestly sounds better and if you know the brand bassmods it’s really good. I suggest this 100%

Bought it off of this website. Shipping was fast. This bass was exactly what I was looking for. The active pick up and the EQ make it vastly versatile. The action is low and feels so effortless to play. The neck is comfortable. Well worth the money.

I love this Bass, I wasn't for sure about Schecter Bass. And Schecter Session Riot 5 Electric Bass has changed my mind on this brand now I have my eye set on 3 to 4 more Schecter basses. I purchased this in December 0f 2022. The next two that I will be purchasing is the Schecter C-5GT and Schecter J5 in that order. I still like Ibanez bass, I have 3 of them now. Now I will fill my wall up with Schecter and Ibanez Basses.

"Purchased but Returned"

I purchased the Riot 5 based off its reviews and high rating. It has the looks-great shape, finish, and the maple neck with that ebony fret inlay gives it great aesthetics. When the bass arrived, I was surprised and concerned on how poorly it was packaged. Out of the box, the neck was very bowed, only one side of the neck pick up was screwed down, and the saddles on the bridge were uneven and out of whack. The intonation was ok, I could hear a few spots where it wasn’t in tune. Once it was set up, it played pretty well and put out a pretty good sound. There was still a bit of fret buzz, nothing major. At that point, I decided to mail it back. I guess I just wasn’t a fan on how it was sent to me. I understand most people will make a few personal adjustments and I’m sure it’s a great bass. I just don’t like how it was sent to me.
