I’ve owned plenty of Schecters and various other brands in my almost 25 years of playing. I’ve played guitars worth thousands and guitars worth a couple dollars. This guitar is right up there with the nicer guitars I’ve played. Obviously you’re not getting a custom model but you certainly aren’t paying the price for one either. There was minor work I had to do to get it to my liking. There were a couple frets that had sharp edges and the FR Tremelo needed adjustment for intonation. Other than that it was play out of the box ready. The neck. This neck is so comfortable to play on. It’s fast and thin and solid. The pickups sound great but still require some EQ work at the amp side to get them screaming. I’ve gotten so many compliments on just how sharp and awesome this guitar looks. A few minor gripes are, when looking close at the coupling for the burl top to the body, there is very minuscule (but present) bleed from the dye. Also, the push/pull selector has started crackling in pull mode so I’ll be fixing that. Other than that, this guitar is an absolute dream to play. Hats off to Schecter!
