"Gorgeous Telecaster looks with better tone and a lower price!!!"

Overall: 5 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
Definitely plan on keeping this axe a long time, only thing I would consider doing to it is putting in some higher end Duncan pups. However the pups it has sound great, much fuller than most fender tele's with humbuckers. Love this guitar, and cant stress enough how great it feels in my hands!!!
Sound
This guitar is amazing! The sound quality is great with the humbuckers and with the coil taps it has that nice twang to it as well. It plays like a dream!
Features
The 3 way toggle switch with 2 volume and 2 tone knobs is always nice, plus the added benefit of coil taps, what more could you ask for?
Ease of Use
The guitar sounds great, stays in tune. The neck on it is amazing, nothing better than a guitar that just feels great in your hands!
Quality
The guitar is extremely durable and is very well put together, then ONLY issue I ran in to was that the knobs sometimes came off with the push pull coil taps but its a very easy fix and now I dont have the problem.
Value
This guitar is a steal for the price, played MUCH higher priced Fender Telecasters that didn't sound or feel nearly as good as this guitar. If you like the Tele design and not the Fender price tag (or poor quality by comparison) this guitar is a must!
Manufacturer Support
Havent needed anything so far!
The Wow Factor
The black finish with full black pickguard, creme colored binding and maple neck is absolutely GORGEOUS, I have had many compliments about how pretty my guitar is.

"Guitar of my dreams"

I leave the Techno-jargon to those who know what they're talking about. All I can say is I love this guitar. It came with a set-up that is out of the box perfect for me. For my simi-large hands, it's a perfect fit. The finish on this thing is beautiful. Frets are smooth and no sprouting like my recent fender Telecaster, which had to be filed. I bought one of these from another dealer and the action was way too high for me. They worked on it and it was still too high, so I gave it back. I'm glad I went to zZounds before giving up on this one. It's everything I want in a Tele style guitar.

"VERSATILE AXE!"

Sound
This has two humbuckers which both can be split so this can go from LP to Strat/Tele and almost has that famous p90 sound also. I cannot say enough as the maple really brings out the tone. I think Schecter has a winner here as it is very simple yet VERY VERSATILE! Also loves pedals! This is a great recording guitar as the sound is extremely WELL BALANCED with DEPTH! AWESOME!
Features
Not many features but QUALITY features are only used on Schecter! Very Smooth controls, great sounding pups, nice frets, GREAT NECK!

I love everything about this guitar and I have a bunch. This pushes all the buttons for me and I got one. It plays great, feels great and with the tapped pickup configuration I can coax all kinds of sounds out of her. Cannot say enough good things about this instrument. It represents excellent value.

"Great for the Price"

I love this guitar! The neck and tone were exactly what I was looking for, at a fantastic price. I have three minor gripes, but two can be solved with a good setup, and the other is something I didn't need in the first place. The action out of the box is close to perfect for me, but the B string does buzz when not fretted. There's also a little bit of an edge to the frets on the high side. The major gripe I have is the tone pots. While push/pull knobs are always touchy, these feel a little cheaper than I would expect. I don't see myself using the coil split function much, so they will likely be swapped with a higher-quality pot when I have it set up. I still believe this is a great product, and very well worth the price!

I've always been a Les Paul and Strat kinda guy. I was wanting to break away from the norm and try a different style and brand of guitar. I have to say, I was worried about buying something out of my comfort zone. I watched YouTube videos and read reviews on the guitar and did not see one negative review of the quality and sound of the guitar. I decided to pull the trigger and give it a shot. The guitar is a beautiful piece of craftsmanship. The factory wiring made the guitar sound muddy. I changed the wiring scheme and now it sounds great. I have a Gibson Les Paul Custom and I can honestly say the Shecter sounds better.

These guitar is really well done. Super nice hardware...big potentiometers (not the little wimpy ones like on most Asian instruments). Bridge pickup is super cool and the neck pickup is ok. Butter bean grover tuners stay in tune great but are a little close to each other. Great finish and superb workmanship.

"Customer service/pt fastback"

The toggle switch messed up every once in a while upon receipt, of course it eventually broke completely. I procrastinated on sending it back because of the hassle and because it’s a switch that I could replace myself. In the meantime I saw that the pt special in the color I wanted dropped in the meantime. I thought after reading the return policy that it would be acceptable, it’s not, I thought if I brought up the switch malfunctioning, no, so buyer beware. 45 days is 45 days, if there is a single thing you think may be wrong or broken in reference to anything bought here, return first and ask questions later (provided it’s within the 45 days). I know I misinterpreted the policy but I’m also not a certified policy reader so I’m trying to break it down for all my non policy readers. It won’t go back as easy as it came, so be sure. Also if the toggle switch isn’t right, chances are it won’t be, send it back immediately. I don’t know why I thought it was nice to not be a pain in the ass or go through the hassle but shame on me. Cheers.

Sound
This is another CHAMELEON of guitars from Schecter! AMAZING QUALITY throughout! Smooth playing neck with PERFECT FRETS! They feel and sound stainless. I own 4 Schecter guitars and every one is built to the same standards which is PERFECT!!! Can't say enough about this company! I own 22 guitars of many brands including famous brands. Sure they all have a different sound yet NONE can keep up with SCHECTER! NONE!
Features
If I were to custom order a guitar this is EXACTLY what I would want!!! Coil-splitting on both pups with QUALITY POTS AND PICKUPS! Great TONAL RANGE. This axe can go from TWANG TO SCREAMIN and everything in between! LOVES PEDALS!!!!!
Quality
This is a PROFESSIONAL GUITAR and built to play! It is heavy but SOLID! About the weight of an LP with great balance. IMHO perfect!
Value
You won't find a better tele no matter how much $$$$$ you pay!
